Another article on eve wars (mostly high sec)

Loving the terminology.

In all those Merry Go Round games the developers are slaves on the hamster wheel. 2 weeks after they release content the kiddies are bashing them for not enough content.

But this is not that, this is the one where they drive away their customers and the bears reject the game for being an old spreadsheet game.

People act like it is 100% sure that changing it to a care bear game will draw even as many customers they have now.

It is 100% sure the sandbox customer base will leave.

Taking classes in hyperbole 101 and doing great i see, congratulations!

Now onto sensible discourse brought to you by me again (such a burden but i guess one of us has to do it).

Anyways, your scare tactic speech might bring some ‘hearts’ from people that already share your distorted and completely untenable viewpoint. The truth, though, is that highsec space in particular needed some love, it had become stale and needed new content and CCP recognized this and is providing it.

By the way, adding highsec content isnt turning EVE into a care bear game it is simply providing content to a group you care nothing for or outright loath and that is your problem not a game development problem.

p.s. If 100% of you and your kind are leaving let me be the first to say: BYE-BYE !!!

The weak MUST be cleansed from EVE Online.

Yeah, I guess we will see. Will you be around to discuss the results when the change has settled or will you already have created a new forum alt? I guess what will happen is that people will feel pressured to get rid of their structures and then the whining will continue.

…and for each one who leaves, the strong will get a subscription price rise so CCP doesn’t losses money. If you can’t afford to pay for your new 50 euros sub, then you’re weak too and don’t deserve the privilege to play EVE Online. :woman_shrugging:

The defenders have the same options available as the attackers and can force the attackers to stay docked as well if they find them (speaking from personal experience). The November changes don’t make wars more interesting for the defenders either. Until now, you could reasonably assume that your corp would be left unbothered even if you had a war (speaking from experience) if you just avoided the trade hubs with in-corp chars.
Now, though, a war will mean that someone has found your structure or is going to look for corps with structures, which they then want to attack. Yes, people can continue to mine and run missions in their corp without structures, but they are way more likely to lose their structure in the other corp because they won’t just automagically start to defend it if they haven’t before.

None of the suggested changes so far will change this. In contrast, suggestions like specific structures in the attacker corp that you can destroy as a defender will just coerce defenders to feed to attackers even more in the hopes they can finish the war early.

Not to mention that you can just continue your corp activities from out of corp in an NPC corp anyway as long as you keep your corp shell active. You do not need to quit the corp for good, you do not need to stay docked. Even if you quit the corp for good, you can still work with them and make it less interesting for professional war decers to attack your shell by working together from outside the corp. That’s simply what the changes in November force into mechanics rather than emerging player behavior.

CCP already said in the q&a thread when PA bought them that EVE is financially in a very good position. So no, a raise if the subscription price is not required.

If you want to play a PvE game there are literally hundreds of them out there. Bye.

It also means if you are able to wardec a corp they do have a structure somewhere, maybe hidden.

Your sarcasm-o-meter failed you.

You are a well known carebear and Hello-Kitty-Online-transformation-apologist so I highly doubt is was sarcasm.

Oh, then I might just suggest to pay 20 € a month to be free from non-consensual PvP.

So you mean 15$ subscription + 20$ PvP protection? I mean I can teach you in 5min how to never again fear a gank, but if you want to pay monthly 20$…

LOL Euros…

currency that isn’t dollars is so hilarious

You wish i would change my forum alt so that the number of times ive crushed and will continue to crush you in the forums wouldnt be so obvious. Also, yes, i’ll still be around to crush more of your weak arguments next year also, so be ready for on-going forum defeats.

Since this topic is about corporations avoiding wardecs by not having structures people are going to know that they have a choice and must make one or the other, this trash talk, by bittervets, about how pve based players whine is sure bringing a lot of whining from warbears, the irony makes me laugh.

That one is new. Hiding behind a forum alt and just claiming that your past alt have “crushed” me. At least you are not giving away who you are this way since that never happened.

Just another butthurt carebear claiming stuff CCP does as a personal victory.

People who put their playstyle over the good of EvE online as a whole deserve to have that playstyle crushed.

When the numbers are so bad CCP doesn’t want to exactly give them, then you know your playstlyle is hurting their game.

But what do you care right? You were having fun, a normal excuse to a toxic behavior.

Look man, I have no personal love for people who explode unwilling spaceships in an MMO design around exploding spaceships… But I do got to ask you this.

If you are so certain that your moral Victory is on the horizon, why do you feel the need to poke at gankers? Surely you’re correct right? Surely the incoming changes to the game will render their play style unsuccessful now right?

Why not just bask in the victory with the moral High Ground that you are so sure you have?
