Exactly…did he aggress them and then they blew him up? Did he have kill rights? IDK?
I think he simply tried to show that, when AG comes up with something, the gankers will adapt.
Ahhh, well then you were right then. He did assume they’d adapt to that solution (based on gankers adapting to an ill-thought out attempt at stopping a gank). Still, I find it amusing that he won’t try the actual strategy you suggested. After all losing a fully insured cheap T1 cruiser while saving 10 billion ISK in value is apparently not worth it…because they’ll gank the cheap T1 cruiser…I thought that was the point.
Edit: BTW, is there any information on the freighter that was going to be ganked? Was there one? Or is this killmail just a massive morass of hypothesizing, speculation and Bravo Sierra? What is the story behind that loss?
What we get with Bravo Sierra like this is a tiny glimpse at the picture, then people run around filling in the empty space with their own beliefs and views.
@yellow_parasol: Writes some stuff
@Rivr_Luzade: Replies with a link that @yellow_parasol is right…or wrong…or something.
While I’m sitting here looking at the killmail going, “WTF is the actual story there? What happened?”
Don’t worry, I don’t expect ■■■■ as a reply. Frankly it is a largely useless link. But hey…whatever, thanks for posting it. I guess.
I doubt that Falcon agressed them. Recently I was in Iyen-Oursta trying to snatch some bomber kills when CFC were doing another round of JF interdiction. There was another guy on grid on the low sec gate and Fizzleblade warped in a squad of Coercers alts in to gank him preemptively. I am positive the same happened to this Falcon.
The other things (your train of thought on yellow’s comment) are true. Usually, I would be on the forefront of exactly these nay-sayers. But I think continued bumping to keep the gank target moving could be interesting.
How about bite me? How about stop trolling me and trying to drag me into a pointless argument that will only lead the thread off topic? I said what I wanted to say and I will not get trolled into your game.
In other words you don’t know ■■■■ about that loss or what it signifies.
Okay, thanks, I’ll ignore it from this point forward.
I disagree here… there are many things one can do to work around gate camping pirates… but you may not like it, and it may mean you just log off for now… wait for a DT, or pay redfrog if the location permits. You can use alts, webb your assets off a gate… fit warp core stabs and webb your assets off a gate. wait till local is 0, Pay for protection…
Ive been ganked. it happens. But it doesnt happen often and I prefer to think about problems with a can do attitude. if you say, naa i cant do it. then no matter what WE say, you will never do it. so, one, change YOUR attitude to a CAN DO, and then, FIND A WAY.
nothing more fun that pissing off and trolling a group of gankers in a system, on the wrong gate, lure them to you, move your assets around them… and watching them scramble to get you when you are already in warp.
Sometimes you need to send a few empty t1 indy ships thru to see if they are actually active or interested in your corp or character.
If you get scanned by people… consider that an act of aggression, and war dec them, kill them, harass them. MAKE IT NOT FUN FOR THEM TO ATTACK YOU. or make it costly, troll them…
There are a few guides online… here is one. learn to be crafty. For me its second nature via my IRL training and experience from the DOD. there is always a way.
here is one guide I like. run a few of these before you move your assets and you may get your gankers killed and fed up and when they take a break or reship, move on thru… you must watch… have scouts… be cloaked, a few jumps ahead and behind your assets.
Another thread about the most relevant alliance in the game by one our biggest carebear fanboys!
Thanks for making this thread, Salvos! I was bummed that the other one got closed.
I am not trolling you. You said something that made no sense, I tried telling you that it makes no sense, then you switched the argument. The worst part is that you’re not only not a troll, but that you do not even understand wtf you actually did in these two posts.
You would fit well into the current AG. No rationality.
As you probably need it, feel free to have the last word.
And have a nice day anyway.
Anyhow …
Once again there is need to point out that all of this is a complete waste of time, because the very people who will define AntiGanking are not even here yet. They will come though, once CCP has shifted enough members of the highsec population into a mindset of self responsibility, a sense for community and cooperation. Not these wannabe heros we have now.
Before that happens nothing will change, because for it to happen, we first need to get rid of those who are all bark, without any bite. And the absolutely BEST part about it:
It will happen!
just remember, concord does the work for you, let them, help them work for you and against them.
To be quite frank: The only one throwing Blue Snails around is you. You not only fail to understand what I linked while yellow understood it perfectly fine. I mean, how can one not understand “Funnily enough they already adapt + a kill mail of a ganked AG ship” as “Yellow is wrong”.
And in addition, you keep steering the conversation away from the actual topic into the same old how people are not “prudent” Bonkers Slew that you always like to talk about.
Since I already established that prudence does not help against a bump and gank attempt, and the subject of this topic is what AG can do when the bumping or ganking is in progress, maybe you want to contribute to the actual topic like I did 3 times already? After all, we should stay on topic. And before you think about telling me about prudence again: Remember, the subject of the topic is an already ill patient. Prevention has already failed. Just a reminder.
And with regards to your other berating that I should organize a gank. Thanks, but I am perfectly fine in null sec with my activity scope. Where I complained about the whale swarm is also beyond me. I merely suggested that one should join CFC if they want to continue mindless hauling. Please, take a deep breath. This high blood pressure really is not doing you good.
I am not sure if “lack of creativity” is the issue. I mean, everything that I suggested is already known to them, the suggestions in my first response have proven to be effective and anti ganking efforts do them every now and then. And there are only so many ways to counter a gank and none of them require any creative thought. The issue I see is, as said, numbers. Maybe they should also start these fantastically successful SP alt farms that gankers use to combat the numbers issue in order to have the necessary characters in place where they need to be.
While bumped and waiting for the gank fleet to arrive:
- Suicide gank the bumpers
- Jettison high value loot and have a blockade runner or DST ready to scoop (this may not prevent a gank, but may prevent them from turning a profit… assuming they don’t beat you to the scoop)
I thought it was how to prevent it. According to the OP it is. HE went on at length that I was wrong because my reading of prevention wasnt reactive, only pro-active.
And thats being generous to what he said.
We didnt get as far as how to deal with a gank in progress (a Code 1, I guess) because we had no way of knowing the situation at the start of the gank because apparently good practrice for the fleet is a no-no around here.
Then you should read the first post again. Might help because it clearly states what I said.
Efficient as ever, Pedro; I’m obliged.
You mean where it says
Yeah I can see it clearly.
Preventing.
Right there.
I bolded everything that shows my point. May I suggest that you train your Reading Comprehension skill further than just injecting it and then forgetting to put it in the skill queue? It really helps.
And left out the bit that proves you wrong.
Why is this sentence completely missing you?
I think it is you who need the reading skill booster.
The fact you are including the phrase you claim is not there is the astounding part.
