Stumbled over this, is this posted a day too late or what the …?
If you read the bottom of the page it explains:
Updated 2011.04.02: Yes, this blog was published on April 1 for a reason. We even got some of you and for the rest we hope this was a fun read. Please note that this update to the blog will make the publish date change, but for any doubters you can see it was in fact published on April 1.
It just wasnt.
Or hmm the post dates gets backchanged with changes, thats not very correct … and then its nto true we can in fact see when it was posted, well still confused.
edits wow its hard to get the date linked hopefully now …
Oh and the real reason I asked was (hopefully obviously), if it was an April’s Fools joke or if they really planned this at one point. You did answer that thank you (I hadn’t read it all the way to bottom stat training pets seemed nuts).
What I posted above is a direct quote from the bottom of the linked page (which is why I used a quote block).
It was an April Fools joke (from 14 years ago, btw). This should have been obvious from the start, given the ludicrous text. Apparently not. When they updated the post on April 2, 2011 to make it clear to the humor-impaired that it was just a joke (“We even got some of you…”), the update changed the date of the post.
