Here we go again, docked, 2 year old, assaulted by Aura and her destroyer gift.
(Yes, if you enable the Opportunities dock, and look in the hidden menu, there is an option to Skip Tutorial, which doesn’t mean Skip Tutorial, just ‘attempt to bypass this immersion breaking waste of time.’)
So lets see.
First a lot of blipper blapper about how Iris is an AI in a clone body. Not sure how Aura could not know that already. I mean she is an AI tied into our ships, meant to keep a bit of track of things in the universe. Also I have personally seen it being explained to her about 20 times. I guess CCP want to appeal to 5 year olds, who can’t figure out Aura shouldn’t know things they haven’t learned yet.
Then Aura gets hacked.
Proper reaction: loud wailing sirens Aura:“EMERGENCY! EMERGENCY! GUI COMPROMISED, Captain I have detected a hack of my graphical interface, ship compromised.”
Actual reaction: Total anti immersion happy Aura fascinated with being hacked.
Then Iris goes on to telling the PLEX Vault keeps PLEX safe, this isn’t really the case, the ‘vault’ is your spending place, where you put the PLEX you want to spend. However since CCP has given up on keeping even NPC station inventory safe for returning players, there is also a certain truth to the ‘vault’ being the safe place to store it.
Afterwards it is shown how you can see your PLEX amount in wallet, and Aura lies about being able to manage the PLEX there at any time (which is not possible anymore, there are market buttons, and a link to NES, but you can only add/withdraw PLEX from the PLEX Vault).
Then Iris enters a total disgusting salesman mode, which I guess she could be. But Aura joins her … thats not our Aura. (especially when you have skins off in settings, this turns rather stupid).
