Again, this really has to be done with and stop being questioned for good. @Siegfried_Cohenberg has already stated in this very thread that he and others regularly do it…
And again, that’s NOT the question either. That does NOT prove that bumping is tackling. It just proves that during all the time the freighter was bumped neither the victim nor anyone willing to help him (if any) was able to figure how to get away…

That’s all it is about actually, your so full of salt you’re denser than mercury. All you are doing is trolling when people point out that bumping circumvents the need of a point to keep a target under concord protection, and allows BAD gankers to take all their time.
You keep crying because you can’t accept that your activity is imbalanced and needs to be nerfed.

Your approach is a good one. The only detail you’re missing is the fact that the amount of people, who are being affected by this, is so absurdedly small that there is no actual point in changing anything at all.
99.99999% of all people complaining about bumping have not been bumped even once. They all complain “for others”, because it makes them believe that they are being perceived as good people.

Nope, I have no idea what the percentage of affected pilots is, but I already stated in a previous post that it isn’t clear to me at all there is an actual problem that needs fixing here. I’m just trying to help keep the discussion rational with arguments based on facts.
That’s a fair point. It still is important to consider, though, that there is no reason to believe that it affects a lot of people, because there are not actually that many people around who bump freighters. We know pretty much all of them.
Also important to remember is the fact (this time really) that carebears always tend to overly exaggerate that which they perceive as a problem. Always.

Ganking is very balanced, thank you very much. Theres nothing imbalanced at all about a very tiny portion of the playerbase killing freighters. The barrier to entry is really hard to break through. New freighters gankers are rare and they don’t stick around in the long term like code and goons.

Bumping =/= ganking.
Ganking is fine, if it follows the applicable rules of high sec.
Bumping is being used to circumvent those rules, which makes it the problem, one fixed by simply limiting similarly to other forms of tackle. Compromise can even be granted by putting it on an escort and providing a reasonable spoolup, currently suggested at 5 min, though CCP’s suggested timer was 3 minutes.
