Relevant enough for you to be here
And you, it would seem.
Does my presence upset/frighten you?
Nope
We rely on idiots to make those threads for us
And they do.
And we laugh every time
Yeah, thats not true lol
Unless you consider yourselves idiotsâŚ
I inform idiots
If they refuse to accept the facts, well Iâm still not going to let them spew their nonsense at people who wonât bother looking if itâs true or not.
But hey, if that makes me a bad guy, so be it.
That methodology is flawed. They set an arbritary 15 day limit on their test, and they immediately discount death in war as âlegalâ and âsomething the players signed up forâ.
Most people Iâve seen quit because of ganking were at the point of flying exhumers (which is why the loss actually hurt) or industrialists who had formed corps with their friends to fulfil big plans they had, and instead just got hit by repeated war decs, and quit because it was boring sitting in stations unable to do the stuff they actually wanted to do.
As for -10 sec status, of course they should be banned from high sec or preferably just podded on sight by Concord. It takes hardly any time to rat your sec status back down, but apparently having to actually have a consequence to your actions is something high sec gankers canât bear the thought of.
Theyâre happy to tell miners all the long and boring things they should have to do to avoid ganks, and tell frieghter pilots how their already boring task should have to involve escort pilots, webbers, long circuitous routes added on 20 jumps etc, but of course the idea that they should have to put in some effort to keep their sec status down is just too muchâŚ
You do realize that gankers would have a field day if they werenât -10.0 sec status?
Theyâd be sitting on gates, untouchable basically.
But you also forget about all the guys in LS with -10.0 sec status.
People who donât give a care about pve, because letâs be honest, pvp is more thrilling regardless
The data CCP collected may or may not have been used objectively. Maybe they wanted to correlate ganks and retention and the time frame that it showed was the case was at the what 15 day mark? As we donât have the 'data ccp does we have to rely on their interpretation of said data. They also may have noticed that people who buy ship skins for plex play longer so the ideal solution is to sell more ship skins instead of balance passes ectâŚ
This is the most offensive and overtly insulting post I have ever read on these boards in all my years here.
So let them have a field day. Itâs stupid that pilots who would be instantly killed on sight in a ship by Concord are just fine to fly around as long as theyâre in a capsule.
As for low sec, I donât forget about it at all, considering I live there. My preferred outcome is that the high sec gankers come do some actual pvp/pirating in low sec, so weâre not flying around for hours unable to find anything to fight other than bait/hotdrop setups. Low sec is largely an empty space with little more than an occasional gate camp and because its so empty the null alliances get to treat it like their own little safe space. Fill it up with active pvpers and that would be a much less attractive proposition once they started to have to actually protect their activities there.
I just donât get those hs ganker guys at all. They claim that Eve is all about the pvp, yet the only thing they want to do is suicide gank carebears, which is about as challenging as pushing over a toddler. Real pvp is brilliant excitement, by refusing to engage with it theyâre basically just showing theyâre carebears themselves but with a different paint job.
You do know that gankers and wardeccers are the only 2 sources of actual danger in highsec
People are actively trying to get one, the other or both removed or limited enough that no one will bother doing it anymore
People either need to adapt to those, or die.
Thatâs EVE in a nutshell
Yes, but wardeccers have to pay and are vulnerable themselves in war.
Wardecs dont need to be profitable, and neither does suicide ganking.
Its quite clear that suicide ganking is not popular, and is a tiny fraction of HS attrition, both in frequency and value of targets destroyed.
You wear a 'tache IRL, and thatâs frightening enough !!
Usually people do stuff only if it brings them isk back one way or another
Ganking and wars bring a lot of isk to those that do it right
I donât see the point of doing something if it doesnât bring me enough to pay for ammo and ships lol
Up to you.
If isk is a priority, dont suicide gank targets that dont pay out enough.
Fine! Then do it right!
Same applies everywhere in EVE.
Then do it right, and for that purpose.
The cost/effort of raising sec status is unrelated to that.
this thread is going to have 500 replies at least tomorrowâŚ
Except many of them donât adapt, or die, they just leave.
I donât get this obsession with making highsec dangerous. Itâs pretty boring to play in even as an industrialist, and given time to build up a decent corp most players will start looking for more ISK rewarding opportunities in low/null anyway. Of course CCP in their infinite genius have decided to allow stations/moon mining in high sec, thus removing one of the main ways of pushing corps out into low/null anyway. Any sensible design plan would make high sec safer (and potentially smaller) but bring the mining/missioning rewards even lower, and make players move outwards because they have genuine desire and motivation to do so. Hell you could even make 0.5-0.6 systems into a genuine halfway house between high and low sec, where they work kinda how high sec currently does but perhaps slightly less safe, with 0.7-1.0 being extra safe for the new guys/safety obsessed.
Oh and then make Jita lowsec just for lolâs.
I play for fun
Isk is a non-issue for me personally.
All these âNerf gankingâ and ânerf warsâ just make it more fun
Good.
Then raising the bar for raising sec status, or penalties for low sec status, are not a problem for you.
Why change get something that already works well?
Oh wait
Crybabies ofc
