Best Mining Ship for Alpha Clone

I’m about 3 months old in game, i really like mining but i cant afford to PLEX, so i tried in all possible ways to make the best mining ship thats not a venture. Battleships are kinda expensive for an alpha? but they are worth it for you wanna start mining and make some ISKies. with the help of friends i was able to decide on the best ship for an Alpha.
Praxis!!!
ive tested every other available ship, but nothing beats a praxis. Its relatively inexpensive.

There’s 2 ways of using the praxis to mine,

1. Active (Sell-in-belt): has the better ISK/hr but requires you to constantly Jettison ore or transfer to a ship with fleet hanger parked close to you. (The Jettison method is my go-to. Jettison the first load of ore and continue transferring ore to the same container until its full. each container can hold 27K m3.
   your friends can come pick it up later or if youre in a system thats not very populated, then you can make fill as many cans as you want and come back with miasmos to pick em up before they despawn)

2. AFK (not really): Ship has enough cargo for you to go AFK for sometime. the ISK/hr is still better than that from a Venture.

Active fit: (its hard to find someone Buying-in-belt but if you have friends that do then you’re lucky)

with my skills i get 666m3/60s (111m3/60s from each of the 6 MIner II) with no boosts. i highly recommend that you train Mining Upgrade IV. you have enough cargo to mine 2 cycles and then transfer ore (which is the BEST cargo hold i could get after fitting every other ship in game thats available to alpha clone)

[You can go crazy and add all Mid-slot mods but i havent cuz that has nothing to do with the mining aspect of the ship]
Has twice the ore hold of that of the Venture, makes 432m3/60s (72m3/60s from each of the six Miner II). The Best venture fit for alpha can make 362m3/60s. with a 5K m3 ore hold.

Now i know a lot people will question the effectiveness of this, saying it’ll take ages to repay the ships cost blah blah but just know that other expensive mining ships take just as much time to repay for it self. So if you have about 140M AN AN ALPHA and you really love mining then get yourself a Praxis, if you get bored of mining then carry a mobile depot, refit your miner battleship into an actual battleship and start ratting or other stuff that an actual battleship can possibly do.

[ Important Note: the only concern about this method of mining using a Praxis is that the insurance of the Praxis doesnt give you any ISK (5.00 ISK at the most) if it blows up. so try not to blow your Praxis to bits in Lowsec or wormhole mining.]

Your ships are good examples for mining in a gank safe place. There is no much of such and CODE will explain you that better than me (25kEHP is not much, really). If you have found such place, there is also high probability, that there will be unscanned signatures out there. So you can scan while you mine:

Still more cargohold, than a Venture, higher mining rate, but at least you can move and scan.
I, personally, think, that Praxis is much better, than a vanture not only becasue it can hold more and mine fisater, but also because it can tank like a procurer.

If you invest 130+ milions, you can at least have 46 kEHP to protect it. It will take more than one catalyst to kill you. So ganker will have to use Attack battlecruiser to kill you solo or wait for the group to form (and group will more likely go after some exhumer, not you.)

thank you and yes totally agree, my personal fit has a probe launcher but the fits are endless, and everyone has different opinions. Therefore i made the fits focus only on the mining aspect of it, you can add all the extras as per your preference. Personal preference, i like to carry a mobile depot its just a better way to go about fitting your ship(on the scene=more utility and setup). also if you do get tackled in belt by one or two cheap tackles you can instantly fit into a proper battle ship or fit to warp out of scene. when fully fit the praxis is a beast of a miner, worth it if you have the ISK to spare. and when in a group of miners, youre most likely the last target the gankers want a killmail of, so have enough time to head home safely. All of this making it the best OneUp to a Venture.
