Do keep in mind a beginner attempting level 1 and 2 missions is unlikely to have many, if any, skills at 5 and certainly won’t have some of the extra skills that allow for range or damage increases.

There’s a number of jumps between gates, those are in AU’s and can be added together.
You forgot them to get high grade implants to for that bonus warp speed. Thats really practical for newbies.

And its not obvious new players dont have the best DPS and tank to begin with hence why they dont fit for speed?

It’s also probable that they won’t need any more dps/tank than they can already comfortably acquire.
