A toggle option for not showing any kind of hangar graphics.
When you are docked you see the GUI and your ship, nothing else. Ship just hovering in total blackness, with a few invisible light sources so you can actually see the ship.

Yes please.
The new hangar graphics may look nice but after the initial impression here’s nothing new to look at. Yet it takes a lot of PC resources.
I even started using “view outside” in Upwell structures as default setting to avoid laptop noise (my fans only activate while docked, go figure), but this option isn’t available within NPC stations.
A black screen while docked would be nice. Or make it a pretty 2D picture, whatever.
I don’t need my PC to be rendering the most intensive scene during the least intensive gameplay part where I’m likely not even paying attention to the game.

Yeah, I actually also use mostly “Outside View” on Upwells. For the same reasons. Dunno if we need a “black hangar” but a “low-detail” version for sure.

Yeah, an alternate option to the overloaded in-station graphics would definitely be a good feature to have…

CTRL Shift F9 is your go-to-option for now. This hides almost anything but windows.
But, but… all the in-station billboard ads…
Blackout BOBs - kill all the lights.
Is it just me or are we moving further and further away from walking in stations? You can’t spin some ships and now we don’t even want to see them docked…
