Well, it’s been working for a few days…
Now the
Failed to get a valid ballpark in time after trying 30 times
message of doom is back.
Again, SiSi works fine… That won’t help me fix my training schedule or deliver all my completed industry jobs…
Although it’s been my experience that every time CCP gets the cluster in reinforced mode, connecting to the cluster gets a real PITA…
Again… ROFL
And this always happens (at least to me) at the end of the week… so no fix until monday ahah
Fortunately i’m alredy in the process of dismantling everything i’ve accumulated in 10 years and leave the game for other reasons so no big bother… but if i’d still be interested in game just like until 1 year ago this repetitive crap would piss me off.
And yes it’s true that CCP doesn’t officially support linux so we can’t moan if there are glitches, bugs etc… but not being able to login and do anything it’s also not that fair for the simple reason that we pay subcription like any other.

Was able to login just fine on both windows and Linux box. So not sure 
My Windows launcher under Wine stopped working again with the Ballpark error, but the Linux launcher is working fine.
Well is back for me
Tried to install brand new game,downloaded everything, deleted all settings and cache in wine directory and users data.
worked on it for two days still the black screen
Linux Mint 18.2 + wine -staging +wineHQ master
August 22-2017 As of today without doing any changes to my settings was able login without issues ,go figure!
Just ran into it again myself. New kernal installed, but that was a normal upgrade. And once again ballpark error.
I was unable to log in to the game all weekeend, as well as the web pages, so I could also not put in a trouble ticket. Just as with last weekend. I could access Singularity. that was all
And just as before, everything magically works today.
CCP please do something.

After a linux system release update the game crashes when i try to open 2 clients or when i simply make click out of any window inside the game (for example in the middle of space). But the game works just fine if i don’t try to move camera or make clicks out of windows or drag windows. I just discovered the logging option in launcher and the only error i see in loglite is “Failed to get a valid ballpark in time after trying 30 times”
Any tip?

Im on 4th day of black screen. Launcher healthy but cant choose character cause i only have a full black screen. Glad at least i left them trainning something. Hope i can log in soon. Reinstalling and cleaning cache hasnt work. Maybe a problem with my old school intel hd3000 lol.
Still not working, i uninstalled the game, ill installed it again in 2 days, clean cache and sheit. Going to watch Outlander till this heals.
Can you explain how you start the game ?
Via Steam? Lutris? Linuxlauncher?
Are you using wine-stable, wine-staging or proton ?
