Blaster Rokh, yes or no

Is a dual web blaster Rokh any good for solo/small gang roaming PVP or is the tracking fairy just going to keep saying “no” when I shoot at anything smaller than a Brutix? I keep getting mesmerized by the 1100+DPS it supposedly puts out.

Honestly, try it out, sounds like a lot of fun. If you want could you please share the fit, I may try it myself

Load it up with faction antimatter. This is a fun idea I think you should go for it and belt rat haha someone is going to come in thinking this is an easy kill.

Fly what you can afford to lose of course :smiling_imp:

I mean, it would be great bait. Everybody knows what’s up when they see a Hyperion jump in and sit still.

I’m at work rn but I’m pretty sure this is how it’s sitting in the hangar. I haven’t fought anything in it other than some rats (which it did nuke hilariously fast).

I’m a little torn on the MJD. The idea is to kill anything that can pin me down with a scram and run from a blob, which works with a Brutix, but I’m not sure about pulling it off in this thing. The cap booster is just because literally every ship in lowsec seems to have at least one neut these days.

If you want to test that out, use the combination of a Fed Navy Webber and a Heavy Stasis Grappler. Blasters hit even small targets pretty well this way.

You are joking , right?

It will be, it won’t hit squat

That is against a battleship non moving target. You gonna need webs, target painters, have the target at the optimal range and not be tracking disrupted, damped etc, ie fighting a dumb target

I’d go web grapple but honestly i forgot the rohk existed and i think ccp did as well

Rokh is for range so fit railfuns and mjd to jump out 100km when enemies get too close. I’ve seen tons of them on zkill racking up kills. Get some tracking computers and sensor booster on there and have some fun! GL!

Navy Cap Booster 3200?
Those probably let you boost way harder.

That said, the ship looks relatively thin with only one shield extender. The Rokhs I’ve seen have an X-Large shield booster and usually an expensive one. If you’re looking to punch down this may be enough but a tanky enough Battlecruiser might simply DPS you down before you can kill them.

The most successful of Rokhs use some trickery to get their kills. That usually involves a lot of bling, a lot of friends, a weird neut and Torpedo fit, or small beam lasers. The Small Beam Rokh is actually hilarious simply because it uses nearly no fitting room for its guns, and with 8 hardpoints it’s designed to have a lot of fitting room. That means you can fit a beastly tank in the mids with plenty of room for big shield boosters and cap equipment.

Good luck!
