Quality of life: Injection Ports on all ships
- Boosters should be able to be preloaded into an injection port on the main ui hud. This way we don’t have to open cargo to eat boosters.
- Limit the preloadable boosters to say 3. So there’s just three ports at top to simplify it.
Evolution: Micro Module Injectors
Could have these as preload mini slots for each module or say have them take up Injection ports building on the QOL changes of existing boosters. In this way we could use the short lived booster and it would augment the modules it applies to without over complicating the gameplay. I think it would be great if these boosters were built with R4 goo as well giving more needs for R4 goo. The more micro injector boosters there are the more interesting gameplay can evolve, each with its own drawbacks similar to existing boosters.

- Liquid Nitrogen Injector ( rapidly cools the modules for short period under head, weakens to physical damage while firing )
- Phased Plasma Injector ( Rotates Resistances Randomly to high degree, high EM ship can rotate to a high explosive and vice versa but player has little control of how it changes )
- Hyper Conductive Gel ( Increases damage & Range of hybrid & Laser turrets, Increases Power drain of modules)
- Synthetic nanobot lubrication ( increases tracking speed significantly, increases module heat damage)
- Felsic Plasma Oxidizer ( increases missile velocity & Increases ships subwarp velocity i.e. ab’s only, decreases missile range, slightly blooms sig radius but less than mwd. )
This list can go on and on but the main idea is very short lived boosters that give the player options in combat to change the outcome of the battle with clever tactics. These wouldnt be meant as a have boosters and win but instead be more around having clever tactical use of boosters. Extending this into every module type in the game including command modules, mining modules, bastion modules could really add a rich market and lots of depth to gameplay.
It would be really interesting to see some of the micro boosters be super risky too like yah you’ll get a big boost but it might fully destroy the module beyond repair, or even injecting to long could cause your ship to spontanously explode. Even fun things like injecting it could cause random power outages of other modules, or sudden relocations in spacetime i.e. randomly jumps you, or attracts rats or drifters to your location if used or does different things dependind on what system your in.
