Botting Ban and PLEX

And they’re all honorable, because … EVE. :fu:

You could check the type of flags too. Some are getting flagged for things that aren’t true.

So you close threads because of the amount of flags they produce and not because of the content of those flaged posts? Asking for science.

His style is somehow different from that of Buldath.

Sure, that sounds easy. They just have to close those websites. They just don’t try hard enough… Maybe they should ask a university-educated man with two kids like yourself how to go about it.

Ofcause the content of the flags are important. However misuse of flagging is just as much a concern as anything else.

I agree. But I don’t see why you would close the thread because of that and not just punish the flag abuser.

ISD are human. I’m sure there are times when they’d want to throw their hands up and say “Oh stuff it! Thread closed”

Those website do not break any laws. So CCP can’t claim any lawsuits against them. All the websites are doing is suggesting Players to violate EULA/TOS.

@ISD_Sakimura The only mistake you’ve really made is to have reopened the thread and now you got a discussion of moderation on your hand.

… Do it!!!

Yeah I was being sarcastic

This thread should be closed for discussing moderation now. :policewoman:

If it was Buldath looking after this thread, this thread should already be closed now.

Bots are bad, and WILL kill a game if allowed to take root and proliferate.

Burn them with cleansing fire.

You are new to the internet, are you?

Yeah that’s really sad. So detached from any kind of empathy.

Regarding guns being a problem for the US, it’s not even only the school shootings and all of that.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_American_police_officers_killed_in_the_line_of_duty#2018_2

In 2005, the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act was signed by President George W. Bush to prevent gun manufacturers from being named in federal or state civil suits by those who were victims of crimes involving guns made by that company.

You can sue a retailer for not telling people to stop putting their cats in the microwave, but you can’t even talk about the manufacturers of deadly devices that killed your beloved ones. Where is freedom of speech there? It’s a really weird mindset.

2008: District of Columbia v. Heller essentially changed a nearly 70-year precedent set by Miller in 1939. While the Miller ruling focused on the “well regulated militia” portion of the Second Amendment (known as the “collective rights theory” and referring to a state’s right to defend itself), Heller focused on the “individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia.”

Since then mass shootings or generally gun related injuries and deaths have been rising. This understanding of the constitution clearly goes against the text. The US nowadays has a militia in forms of a highly trained military and police force. Wars are not fought with guns anymore. Every war since WW2 has been decided by Air superiority or the lack thereof. Having a population armed to the teeth only endangers that population. 250 years ago that probably would have been a different story, fair enough. But today, if there ever was an adversary that would attack the US (like in these cheesy movies where Koreans do that, lol) - which realistically would never happen - the missile defense systems, gunboats, air strikes, tomahawks would be what saves the country. Not a bunch of wannabe avengers, who will realistically only ever use their guns against their own people.

In 2018 so far there were 157 mass shootings and 329 children between 0 and 11 years shot dead or injured by guns in the US. Of an overall number Jan-June 2018 of 28,863 gun related incidents, only 880 were self-defense. Which is (not really funny) just a tad more than the 846 cases of unintentional shooting.

@QuakeGod you aren’t wrong about “people problem”, but that’s exactly the reason why in most European countries there are very strict gun laws (and a huge support of the population to keep it that way). Because you can’t stop some people from being assholes, but you can stop them from having the tools to easily kill your beloved ones.

Guns are like heroin. A part of the population think it’s fun, but a larger part of the population dies because of it.

TL;DR Ban bots, because they could use RMT to buy a gun.
