Or…players can go and fight over those sites. We are getting off topic though.

The Problem was the same in Wormholes. And not because of some massmultibox farmingfleets, but PvP Buffer Marauders that you bascially only beat with huuuuuge Fleets (which are mostly not available in JSpace due to mass limitations) or with Dreads (which are not available in most Lowclass Systems).
I agree here. Pochven is a really awesome idea implemented in the worst imaginable way. It is way too small and too linear and thus very easily surveilled and controlled by a single large entity (per timezone).
If they had been clever they had implemented 3 whole Triglavian “Regions” of a ~100 systems with many connections to the central triangle. Way too much entries and ways to block or scout them all conventiently and without cynos uncontrollable/dominatable for one larger group.
That way, smaller PvP groups could have used that space for small- to medscale roaming PvP, no Cynoblobs waiting to obliterate them any moment and no need to hold structures that you cannot defend against a larger group anyway. They would have settled on an NPC station like the Pirate Groups of the old lowsec days. THAT would be an awesome smallscale PvP paradise like the old Lowsec was. Local rivalries, local fights, local industry and PvE (as long as you can locally dominate the space for a time).
A shame they didn’t realize that and instead made a simple farming triangle that is worthless for most small- or medium size groups.
Wrong. Some of us like solo play with the danger aspect.
Ooookay, I don’t say you can’t do that. Nonetheless it shouldn’t be difficult to understand that this niche snowflake gameplay is nothing the developer considers that much when balancing ships in a mass multiplayer PvP game, right?
And weaker buffer on Marauders simply changes nothing for such players, as for 99.99% their tactic of “dealing with danger” is evading/dodging hostile players, more or less buffer on the Marauder absolutely does not play any role in that. If you get caught, you are dead anyway, if you don’t get caught, your HP is irrelevant. It really isn’t like those “highsec bad boys” are looking to “fight gankers” and needing that tank to have a chance in such fights. -_-
Where do you recon that most of the Marauders reside?
In people’s hangers.
We certainly had/ve a Marauder comp, not flown it in a while, but I’d say many, if not most PvP groups will have a Marauder comp.
LOL
- High Sec
- Low Sec
- Null
You don’t get it, do you? It is completely irrelevant in which location the highest numbers of these ships are used, a long as their design doesn’t cause problems in different usecases.
Marauders as they currently are designed are 100% unproblematic for solo people in HS and somewhat balanced else for PvP when used in fleet doctrines. Stronger Marauders would still be 100% unproblematic for solo people in HS but highly imbalanced when used in PvP fleet doctines. So very obviously a clever designer doesn’t make them stronger.
Ok, just one thing then, could you support me in demanding the actual REMOVAL of the ACTIVATE KILL RIGHTS button, mechanic altogether? The only time I tried I failed and my Rattlesnake was Concorded out of Osmon station… I know there’s something to click but in 20years I NEVER GOT IT!
So please, continue with your PVP stuff, I will try to survive in the meantime.
I see blinking PIrate icon, I shoot, COncord Puff me. NO GOOD!
Balance that before nerfing the Marauder no???
NO..PVP is more important…
How (and why) should they “balance” you turning your safety to red and then shooting at something illegally? Just learn what the various crimewatch states mean and don’t set your safety to red unless you want to get concordokkened.
I LOVE you are so connected with everything that it seems like you can build a microwave
broadcaster out of a matchbox, but I can’t even work out D-SCAN for that matter…
Kill rights activatation I didn’t know it was a thing untill YEARS in the game,
and as of TODAY, I still haven’t understood HOW, WHEN, WHO???
I Only Learned not to activate SB in HS or i would be puffed…
That’s it…
I saw today a yt vid of two guys blasting gangers out of Space
and activating every single right skill one by one, clicking on a
small portion of the screen, pilot icon, then another POP UP ask, ARE YOU SURE???
WHat you suggest is like, “But why, don’t you thinkk paperwork is fun?”
No buddy, and I don’t need the green, orange, red thing either, if
those other things were more clear to start with…
PS: it was before the green-orange.red thing that happened.
Imagine being at sea, a normL VESSEL SUDDENLY pop up the pirate flag…
It’s the Sae declaration that buddy, we are going after you, if ever it was necessary to
make it be more “honourable”… now imagine the same thing, but you need to sent a looper to the pirate ship, ask them the papaerwork, read it, sign it, and send it back.
Only now you are allowed to engage.
WT Captain BlackBeard have the coders being doing those days???
Filing State TAX revenues???
It’s ridiculoous. And the Red-green safety mechanism is the direct outcome of that fluffery.
Can I get a high slot module to Auto-Activate kill rights for me???
Or ROLE BONUS, for all MArauders?
AND Also an Emergency ship eject that leave your ship in Bastion mode active, and you can take out your small LOGI, or HAWK, and kill every pirate blinkg ship without you having to do that paperwork again, and the Marauder don’t explode or halven the resist bc you’re off to combat in your small ship???
An entire thread could be dedicated to Marauder behaviour whilst in Bastion mode and the pilot engaging with the emergency ship… auto-defender missiles… auto-targeting-missiles…
It could also be bigger emergency ship, so a T2 cruiser like a Hyena or a Curse could fit in…
DOUBLE THE PLEASURE mate…
That’s why Marauders costs 9X a normal BS…
Okay? It sounds like your time would be better spent learning the fundamentals of the game instead of complaining about mechanics you don’t understand.
Again, the problem seems to be both on your end and very easy to correct.
This would result in another (very funny) forum post in which you would be complaining about your wallet having been instantly emptied by your kill right auto-activator module.
Remove the mechanics, and I don’t have to read nothing for the Nth time
without understanding it. THere’s a Physical barrier that’s hidden in the UI
that prevents me to accomplish this task…
Just remove it, and all those nasty consequences you’re talking about…
That’s your territory afterall no???
PS: See? I ask for FUN, and you reply is: More paperwork…
PPS: To all devs: maybe, it could be intersting to make a BIG poster, with the UI,
and some explanation of what things do, that we can put on our wall…
I bought the game on Steam, so no real BOX, no MANUAL, no posters with MAPS or HINTS, like old school games ( which EVE it’s still at its core to me)… and was never granted a physical
copy of Manual or Poster, with hints, UI help… could you make one for me???
PPPPS: Tutorials! Not a single tutorial cover the ganking, kill rights aspect of it!
PPPPPS: Lift the pilots-corps flag limit, that prevent me to flag probable ENEMIES, actually present.
In their current form, kill rights are just another bullsh*t mechanic.
Kill rights are a deterrence for mostly honest players to occasionally be an opportunistic criminal.
The regular security status loss mechanic doesn’t deter such actions if it happens rarely enough that the player keeps positive status, but a kill right is a risk for them while flying Marauders or Freighters the rest of that month.
Kill rights are meaningless against career criminals with negative sec status, those players can be freely engaged anyway.
Don’t mistake kill rights for being useless just because you look at the wrong audience for them.
Kill rights are most effective against (mostly) honest players.
I Kindly associate…
A remnant of the lassoiz fair-ism of he XXVIII century may I add…
They are, however, broken.
The target shouldn’t be allowed to toggle them back and forth so easily.

That’s a 1000X magnification of the real button hidden in the UI
or is just a metaphor for DUST always finds a way to creep in?
