Bring back the old RLML Caracal

Caracal gets the old or similar bonus for RLML
Caracal Navy gets focused HAM Bonus
Cerberus is HAC so do whatever you want.

Currently we have an Pirate Faction Cruiser with a kind of Bonus to RLML

I am unable to understand why it got nerfed under the umbrealla of HACS in the first place.
But probably people can enlight me why this was a good choice to exchange the Caracal with the Vedmak as frigate killer.

Are you referring to the RLML range nerf of 2024-02-20?

Rapid Light Missile Launchers

Rapid Light Missile Launchers have been incredibly powerful for some time, especially when combined with range bonuses. As we re-balanced the Cerberus in the Viridian Expansion last summer, we intentionally removed the light missile range bonuses from the ship. In this balance pass, we are removing all the remaining per level range bonuses to Rapid Light Missiles, to match the precedent set with Rapid Heavy Missiles, which do not increase with Bastion or Spaceship Command skills.

Note that role bonuses from ships will still apply just like with Rapid Heavy Missiles (Mordus Legion Ships and Combat Battlecruisers).

  • Caracal - Missile velocity bonus now only applies to Heavy and Heavy Assault Missiles.

  • Osprey Navy Issue - Missile velocity bonus now only applies to Heavy and Heavy Assault Missiles.

  • Onyx - Missile velocity bonus now only applies to Heavy and Heavy Assault Missiles.

To me it seems those patch notes explained that they wanted to tone down the incredible power of RLML range bonuses.

Is there a reason to believe this explanation is no longer relevant?

Cerberus NERF, was correct as for all HACS.
I was part of the these fleets and it was sooo super boring.

Consider a T1 Cruiser as OP… YOU WOULD INSTANT NEED TO NERF THE KEEPSTAR KILLER NUMBER 1 the VEXOR xD

So jeah the NERF was to much, and the Caracal needs this buff.

You might be right that the Caracal could use a buff but rapid lights especially on cheap throwaway hulls like the caracal were (and still are to a degree) oppressive to smaller hulls.

To prevent people to wreck havoc against smaller ships with dirt-cheap T1 cruisers? -_-
