Broker Relations

So much this ^^ — and i have a terrible suspicion, and this is my real theory why all this is going on, … is that it’s all paving the way for Micro-transactions, and buying ships with IRL $$$ off CCP

Screw trading -> create scarcity -> fill with ships for $$$

  1. the traders that just relying on reselling items can’t 0.01isk anymore and need to think because they act. Other people are not impacted.

Which means alliances and corporations are going to have to specialise and get people to do all this themselves, or liaise with other entities that can trade and provide what they need. Or risk having a shortage of stuff.

Along with the new dynamic resource allocation system which im sure will force people to compete for resources or be left with nothing.

Killing the station trading profession is intentional, they could never achieve this when everyone can have an alt in JITA trading and jump freighting in and out into null.
They just dont have the guts to state their intentions to the player base and they conceal under the “fighting the bot plague” lie.

I have a question; Does this effect alpha trading in any way, compared to the previous system?

Is this possibly another nail in the Alpha state?

Just curious speculation.

That is so wrong. I have spent the past few days thinking of very evil ways to totally screw other players with this new system. If you think the 0.01 isk game was bad…

I am sure I can be confident that in certain case, their will be only silly BO,
like 0.01 isk for whatever item where there is a huge dead pile of SO

Because relist fee on something under 1 isk is not relevant,
generating some more dead SO until , the trade of these items doen’t make any sens at all .

That would make my day .

@Tater-nuts with only 1 order i believe for the alp^ha , there were already “banned” for the market,
without talking about the absent necessary skills ( accounting at 5, and now the replacant of “margin skill” at 5 )

It was bad, you did not need to think in order to screw other players.

What exactly do you think you’re proving when you say you are “thinking of ways to screw other players” ?

Amazon and E-Bay are good models for a digital market.

They charge a flat fee per listing, plus a percentage of the final price. There is no charge for changing your price, and they do not charge a percentage on unsold items.

If Amazon/Ebay adopted CCP’s market, they’d go out of business.

I think alpha traders are impacted most. They still had a hard time until now, having to pay nearly full tax, but now this adds up with the update fee, which makes it practically impossible to update an item price.

Most of EVE is already an economic desert. Most systems have no market activity.

The reason why, is because the percentage based broker fee is charged even if the order is not filled. Nobody wants to pay for nothing!

CCP has this absurd notion that the market is a stock market. It’s not. It’s just a normal market, like Ebay, WalMart, Amazon, etc. All of those sites charge a nominal flat fee to list an item, and the percentage broker fee only applies when the order is completed.

CCP should be reducing the punitive broker fee, and applying it only after a sale is completed. This would revitalize the economy, and encourage people to establish markets outside of Jita.

Instead, CCP is increasing the broker fee, to the point where it will be more efficient for players to use a third-party trading application. On large orders, such as a stack of battleships, it would be CHEAPER to list your order on Ebay!

Would it be within the EULA to establish a 3rd party trading site?

Some would have said that this is because of Jita : the ultraliberal hub
that prevents any station to shine .
You are right for the desertification , even in Jita I feel it
less action, order sitting too long whereas in 2013 2014 , it was almost instant .
This has to do more on the real state of the eve players ,
with all the multi-account it is hard to measure the real number
But it looks like the base player in eve is shrinking.
The recurring sp campaign coudl be a hint ?

Would it be within the EULA to establish a 3rd party trading site?

It’d be fine, it’s just a lot of unnecessary hassle for everyone.

Would it be within the EULA to establish a 3rd party trading site?

Does chatting on some discord channel count?

I suspect that in Jita, pretty much the entire market is covered by about … 30-50 people, all with multiple accounts, multiple toons, lots of alts, all working for big corps and ALL botting.

I think they probably cover the markets of ALL of the items that are regularly, profitably sold in Jita.

They hoover up the Billions/week/day and plex every one of their characters, effectively for free ,

I would like to buy 2000 Warp Scrambler II in bulk. Someone please contact me and quote your price, then we can do a contract.

I also want 1000 Neutron Blaster II, 50 Kikimoras, 50 Nergals, 5 Orcas, 100 Retrievers, 15 Mackinaws, 2000 Warp Disruptor II, 50 Talos, 100 Maller, 5 Raitaru…

You give me a good price, and then you don’t have to deal with the hassle of listing your items on the market and paying increased broker fees.

As usual you are completely wrong, off the mark, and still show that you have not digested nor learnt anything that we’ve been talking about for the last few days.
