What is your take on the CARBON mod for the Wallet threshold pull request???
Could you do that for me???
You know, that part which isn’t the usual rant…
OR what I would call, the elephant in the UI…

The lack of safety guidances for wealth-wallet preservation is not a Bug, True.
It’s a Feature. Designed (or not-designed in this case) so it is easier for the “House”
to empty your totality of savings in one go.
If I don’t rant about it, who’s gonna notice?
The others “behave”.
The OP is a “customer” also. Which should make the case for at least
try to learn to listen.
That requires a BRAIN.
Not a cloned Interface.
It is not Violence taking your money and then hush hush,
spit in your face how arrogant you are for daring to ask
for a basic security feature for your account -digitalized-money?
No. That’s the Persian flavour of a male cat pissed on itself.
A Virtual Bank personal assistant.
Anything.
…
Maybe An AI assistant that in OMEGA could also make automatic trading for you…
secure your investments…
And you could buy-trade-rent this Virtual assistant on the regular market also.
Oh Heresy!
What happened to your GODS?
Drengskapr!!!
Thank you.
But it’s the safety features, or the virtual assistant what really matters here.
And it astonishes me that no-one is saying half word about it.
Except once Gerard elaborated a tiny bit on it and counter-asked questions…
OH, sorry, it was not twice the wallet. I had 50Mil when I first docked in.
Then sold a bunch of stuff and the wallet increased size.
it went up to 90M before that Brokerage.
It’s more than 2/3ds of your entire wallet.
Like 90-70% is 26. 90-64=26.
70% of my entire current savings.
If a Threshold was set to 10%, my pc would have exploded.
three months ago the fee exceeded my wallet, so one order didnt get through, anf it left like 3B in the account. )each item ordered was 4B.
So the total sum exceeded all of my savings, like 120% of it.
It didn’t stop the transaction.
It limited what it could take because it hit a wall.
This is history.
Maybe you should keep away from the market as you seem to be having more trouble with it than most players.
I’m only half-joking, by the way. There are contracts. Usually, if you give a bit of a deal, traders will pick up the contracts. If you set them in Jita IV-4, even better.
I was making a quick vid how to play EVE for FREE as an ALPHA. and make real isks.
It turned into a tragedy. It was meant to be a promotional video for new Alpha players.
I have APLHA skills for only one contract at a time. But ty for the advice.
It helps when making videos showing other people how to play a game, that you actually know how to play the game yourself first
Just some friendly advice

I think an important question here that was not answered is why he mined in a Magnate.
This. When I read the first sentence and saw “mined” 70m in a Magnate…I was like…umm damn that’s dedication. I think in his brain the word “mined” means something very different than it means to the rest of us.
@Aiko_Danuja I have to know what your first impulse was when you read “Mined 70m in Magnate”

I felt a little nauseous.

I’d like to request that Safety gank Quetzi just so we can have a rant-laden, John Madden-marked up Youtube video with stills breaking down how ganking is bad, CONCORD is worthless, blah blah
I think it would make for great content for james315.space and for us forum warriors.

I love the best EvE Online blog and hope someday to be featured there!
In my mind it means FAILURE.

I watched your video. Well, the market parts of it.
Things I’d like to comment on:
1-- You can drag and drop items by dropping them directly into the item hangar space. You don’t have to drop them specifically onto ‘Item hangar’ label for it to work. Much less drag distance that way.
The market doesn’t know when you enter a wrong price unknowingly. It doesn’t have that function – to ask the seller if they are really sure they did their math right (and most of the time in such cases, sellers will just press ‘‘yes’’ even if incorrect).
What you did with those Conductive Thermoplastic parts was check the market price (lowest sale price at 6000 per unit). Then you went to set up your own sell order. The first thing the market did was set a default asking price 3602 ISK. Market defaults to the highest buy order price in that case. It was too low, so you modified it. You selected ‘3’ and overwrote it with ‘9800’ getting the resulting asking price of 9,800,602.00 ISK (that’s 9.8m per unit, 1666 times higher than the lowest sale price). You did not select the whole ‘3602’ but just the first digit ‘3’ resulting in 1000-fold increase in asking price from what you intended!
This resulted in broker fees of 64m being deducted from your wallet. Market can’t arbitrarily stop you when you don’t do your math right, Queotzcatl.
You’re here asking for a failsafe for your wallet, but when you enter that ask price of ‘9,800,602.00’ the whole box around it turns hatched red. That tells you something is wrong with your price. It even tells you your price is 98,159% above normal (98 thousand percent!). And below it will show you how much you are paying in broker fees – 64 million and change.
You honestly can’t read all that info? All of this info is available to you before you press ‘OK’ in the Selling Items confirmation box. You can still click ‘cancel’ there. If only you had read all of those lines in the Sell Items box you would have seen the error. You even commented ‘‘that’s 2 million’’, so you expected to make 2m from selling your Conductive Thermoplastic items, but you couldn’t take a look at the green line at the bottom and see that it was telling you you would make 1.9b after the taxes? 2m vs 2b. You can’t tell a difference between those numbers?
I am baffled at your cluelessness. Those lines are all there to help you set up your orders. They are not there just to ignore. If you can manage right click and sell items option in the game, then you have sufficient awareness to check the numbers on your order.
There would be no reason to reimburse in such a case, because the game did not hide from you how much ISK it will be removing from your wallet in advance.
And when you try to sell Telemetry Processor you set the price at 175k and listing for 2 weeks. However, you failed to notice that the highest buy order matched your asking price – in such a case you can immediately sell to buy orders. You don’t have to set a 2-week listing period for it.
Your math is just all over the place. You quote for your Conductive Thermoplastic items that you’re asking ‘‘9.8’’ and that buyers are offering ‘‘3.6’’. This is wrong, you’re ignoring scale. 9.8 is in millions, 3.6 is in thousands. You’re only confusing things for yourself when you speak of millions and thousands as if they were comparable.
I’ll pay the first safety member to do it 50mil ![]()
They just need to post a zkill link to claim it
