I screwed with the market orders and broker fees…
NO warnings I was using MORE BROKER FEES than I had in my wallet…
ANd It took away ALL my money from the wallet.
Didn’t ONE POP UP adverted me that Something very wrong was happening…
It is an Alpha Account…
I don’t have the mail to register to support or it rejects it…
It’s a mess… anyway I can’t ask support if bc I made an error, if I could reverse the jita market order, and get back my broker fees of 65MIL!!!
So I’m publishing it here, because, fir the Nth time, a GREAT, wallet threshold,
could have prevented me to bankrupt my Alpha char… for making it’s first 100 Mil…
I don’t know if this is punishment or what…

1:10:10 is where I write 10K, but the computer shifts the comma, and it becomes 100Mil instead… to me it’s the UI that deselected my selection (or it didn’t include all the text in the selection as I wanted to do), and added those zeroes, maybe it worked right… but I wish it would auto-zero out instead when I click delete…
I then didn’t notice the INSANE BROKER FEE, twice what my wallet had atm… not a warning… nothing…
I cannot change EVE alone. I asked for a WALLET THRESHOLD, that pop up a warning, like safety button for not shooting in space…
In Every state, if you make an order error, you are covered at least 24h. ESPECIALLY if with ANY ONLINE ORDER. But EVE? NO.

EVE shows you some green percentages hard to read, but that does not stop YOU to PRESS OK, and EMPTY ALL YOUR WALLET.

The UI should have written down 10.000 isks, instead it moved the commas on the right, I might have wanted to select all with a single click, then had wrong expectations..
There’s way to prevent this behaviour.
if I double click on a text and hit delete, it should get deleted.
A blank space. If I select the whole and start typing, I expect it to replace the content with the new sum/content inserted.
I inserted 10.000 and I was sure to have made the right thing.
Instead this wonky UI have always to make you double check.
Also, If I modify the order, it’s the same order, why do I have to broker fees two times???
If I change it to zero, or cancel it, why the broker fees of the old remains and don’t het reimbursed automatically?
Maybe paying a FLAT TAX penalty… but it’s absurd…

I am not sure if a bug report made in the launcher gets to the right destination, as this isn’t a launcher bug. So maybe you could look into making a support ticket.

How did you even make a broker fee mistake on an account you cannot log in to?
It’s the email password that don’t recognize my old password and stupid captchas locks me out. Eve Password is not the same as my Email password.
So no automatic reimbursement for the modify order??
Should not there be a policy that allows for full reimbursement automatically if the modification after realization of the error is made only once and within a 2h (at least) margin???
Could this be translated to feature and ideas???

but I got no re-issue of the broker fee…
There is no reimbursement for brokerage fees at all. There is the option of begging customer support, but that’s entirely up to them.
There is also no bug here. This is intended game design. Brokerage is meant to be sunk cost for setting up a market order at your conditions.
Also:
a) The UI did not “shift the comma”. You purposefully added the 9600 in front of the 3602. And you actually have to click twice instead of once into that field to write it like that.
b) The brokerage fee was also definitely not “twice what your wallet had”. Because then you wouldn’t be able to click that okay button.
Your problem in contacting customer support because apparently your account is not verified since you cannot access your email (if i understood that part right) is entirely up to you.
Also, your usage of caps lock is highly offensive.
P.S. You’ve been playing this game for 7 years. Just pointing that out here.
You screwed yourself… When you were trying to make your sell order, you only selected the “3” in “3.602,00” and goes ahead and type “9800” resulting in the price you set as “9.800.602,00” (aka 9,8 million), and you fail to notice that the entire order is now marked with red stripes and states the order as 98163% above current market value. The total fees for that order is clearly visible below in big white numbers totalling to “-226 M ISK” where 64 M ISK of it is payed immediately and not refunded should you cancel the order.
It does, but if it’s not related to an actual “Bug” then I’m sure the report is just ignored/deleted as it’s irrelevant to the GM’s purpose, which in this would be find and document bugs reported by users.
The OP’s issue is just stupidity and user error and has nothing to do with a Bug in the game.
I feel you brother. My EVE account is via Steam but apparently CCP ‘need’ to have an email address for ‘reasons’ that they never needed before about 2 years ago.
I think they ignore it or the back end rejects it when you have no associated e-mail.
The requirement to provide an e-mail address to CCP was not enforced until about 2 years ago, people using CCP’s system via Steam had no problem until CCP made it a problem.
And I have a inbox full of CCP spam reminding me to spend money in the NES and to try their new extraction shooter, plus a bunch of survey links wanting feedback that they never implement.
Have not watch the video, people who are playing along at home will see this if you try to split a stack of items in the ship fitting window, the EVE UI is the only UI I have run into where the ‘double click, type’ does not erase the existing text.
This is why you should not be selling things to jita if you are not omega and have the appropriate skills/standings to reduce the broker fees if you choose to use a sell order instead of selling immediately.
