Bumping Is nothing more than a protection racket

Who said anything about threats? Either you follow the CODE or you don’t and you are a bot-aspirant Care Bear. Since he has not paid, he is not part of CODE. Simple as that.

It is sad, really. CODE posers like that who don’t really follow the CODE - they don’t pay for their permits and also they don’t even properly enforce the other, minor mining permits. You see fully tanked Skiffs mine with impunity at all hours, in all corners of James315 space. No one who claims to be CODE ever enforces their permits. They go after the low-hanging fruit of the dregs and ignore those who spit in James’ face. So sad, really.

The low hanging fruit are what really need to be purged though, so I’m fine with this.

No, the low-hanging fruit basically falls onto the ground on its own, so no enforcement ever needed with them. In the meanwhile, Tanked Skiff AFK miners openly MOCK James and spit in his face and alleged CODE, but really bot-aspirant CODE posers just tuck their tails between their legs and run away, not even attempting to enforce permits on any of them. In essence, those CODE posers have informed all of EVE that you don’t need a permit to mine if you fly a tanked Skiff. I have seen the James315 statue in the main CODE chapel, and I swear there are tears falling from his eyes onto the marble floor. He weeps, for HIS alleged CODE enforcers are all of them, each and every one, CODE poseurs and bot-aspirants.

I mean, if this kind of mental gymnastics makes you feel morally superior, then good for you, I guess.

You can also help be a part of that, but I don’t see you going out and trying to enforce the “code” against tanked Skiff miners. :woman_shrugging:

Wow, as such a fanatical CODE. supporter, I will have to look at your killboard for inspiration, so I can see all these skiffs you have ganked…

Oh, well, when you are ready to start ganking, let me know. I will help you to kill your first Venture, and then maybe once you master that we can move you up to retrievers or at least covetors.

 Nope, he did not ‘promise’ anything, and that is an old (2016) vid, so just forget about that - it’ll never happen. You’ll have to work around and find alternatives to get better.

As for you @sunfkar_Kurvora if you have fulfilled the payment of a permit since the date of your OP, do ask an ISD to close your (this) thread, or you will have to pay CODE. for a penalty fee (not more than 100m) for defamation, of any extra day that this thread will go on, from this point. I assume you understand that failing to comply will result in new ganks with or w/o warning. We wish you safe flight and big fun.

Why would people scam in a game if they don’t scam away from the game?

Scamming people is a chemical addiction much like getting high on illegal drugs.

The biggest clue is when they ask for ISK(mining permits). If they want you to send them ISK(mining permits) or gifts they are scammers.

They usually make up some kind of sob story (CODE being the defenders of High Sec and they are protecting High Sec by destroying large numbers of freighters) about needing ISK. And we all know that CODE’s stories about being the rulers of High Sec are just not true.

Can you site the research papers that back-up your wild claim or is this just hyperbole?

(rhetorical)

Here’s a clue, now up to the viewers to follow @DrysonBennington ‘stories’ or to obey CODE. laws of high sec.

The same as killing or stealing in game but not in real life.

For fun!

LOL this is great! It demonstrates the great progress we’ve made perfectly!

Bro, you are missing the fact that before James 315 permanently changed the culture of EVE Online, Highsec was full of completely UNtanked Mackinaws far as the eye could see, not completely yield-nerfed skiffs.

This change alone is something I take great pride in being a part of.

James be praise…Priscilla literally just proved that the code works.

CCP has looked at promoting player created story arcs before, but the legal issues became too difficult for them. They had approached Max Singularity during his campaign against Jamyl Sarum. The issue of ownership of his character name became relevant, and they probably decided that having someone outside of their organization have their actions reflect on CCP. James has done and will do things that are far more questionable (publicly supporting the Bonus Room for example) that Max ever did, and CCP can’t have their company’s reputation be dependent on him.

Meh, I’ve already broken character once in a thread, might as well reason with idiocy. Dyson, permits are 10 million isk, approximately the price of a t2 fitted catalyst (at least it was when I was ganking, correct me if I’m off by over 30%). How many permits do you think the average CODE member sells in a year? Now, how many catalysts do they lose in a year? Is the “profit” from permits even relevant at that scale?

Priscilla, I recognize that you are trolling, but you probably want to be careful claiming to be in CODE when you are not affiliated. Impersonation is one of the few things that is actually bannable in eve. I am not reporting this under the assumption that you were ignorant of the rules, but please be more careful in the future.

From the terms of service: “You may not impersonate or present yourself to be a representative of CCP or an EVE Online volunteer. You may not impersonate or falsely present yourself to be a representative of another player, group of players, character or NPC entity.”

Alas, you do not really know the CODE. It does NOT say that it only applies to untanked ships. It says it applies to ALL mining in ALL of Hi Sec space. Again, giving a blanket exception for miners who do not pay for permits is not following the CODE. Tsk tsk.

You obviously do not know the CODE either. By its very terms, everyone in Hi Sec space is part of the CODE. So quoth I, from the James 315 Web Page: “The Code is also a social compact. This means that everyone who enters New Order territory is deemed to have agreed to its terms.” Thus, how can one “impersonate” something where by its very terms, everyone is already a part of it simply by existing in Hi Sec space? Again, you do not really know CODE. Shame shame.

CODE. is provably an ingame entity. Not once have you claimed to be part of the New Order. Instead you have repeatedly referred to an alliance that as far as I can tell, you have no relation to.

Again, you have obviously not read the CODE web page which unequivocally states that everyone, by stint of existing in High Security space, consents to be a part of CODE.
