Bumping

  1. You are not new, you just spoke as someone who knows the game enough
  2. We will assume this is not about Hateless

Now I will not troll you or anything, I will speak honestly about my EVE experience.
When I started playing in 2008 I joined a player corp and I was flying with the guys and the CEO asked me:
-What are your plans in EVE?
-I don’t know, maybe mine?

They immediately locked me and opened fire and he said:
-Never say that again!

Their story is that they mined for years and they should do PVP only… it is 2022 and I still have no mining alts.

Go find something to do, find ISK in all possible activities, don’t get stuck in mining… and if you are a miner don’t be a carebear miner, be a badass who has ships for reshipping and killing your adversaries… make alts who can fight for you and make friends too.

It is ok to create alts who are just loss mail generators if you are learning the game. I can see the miners not working together for killing people, being soft and affraid… don’t be like that, go and find people who you think that are evil. When you go there and make friends with people who look evil to you then you will find that they are really nice in fact and they are happily ejoying the game!

Nowadays there is also the Industrial Core that makes really hard bumping an Orca.

Now let me log in the game just to write some intel on you:

If it takes you 2 hours to bump an orca out of range, you’re doing it wrong.

I bump orcas because

  1. it’s fun to see how far I can make them fly. Kinda like a shot-put.
  2. the challenge of dislodging them from their asteroid crate that orca pilots, for some reason, think will prevent their ship from being bumped out of
  3. if the miner is afk, it wrecks their isk/hr grind.
  4. Bump them out of range of their drones, then through some high tech shenanigans, steal them.
  5. I enjoy reading the death threats and personal RL attacks on my person some orca miners like to threaten me with.

Don’t conflate your fascination of watching mining mods cycle with what the average bumper enjoys. I assure you. We enjoy very different things.
