Having a big DPS is fine but you really need to know about application - rattlesnake or raven it dont matter if your missiles aren’t hitting hard and the target velocity is reducing the damage done.
I wish I had known this a long time ago when I decided that I wanted to specialise in projectiles … I spec’d all of em and still enjoy sniping but for ease of L4 clearance missiles FTW
If youre in no hurry, your gila works just fine. Its just slow because its lacking range.
Flying raven/CNR is so much more fun. I just mwd around with minimal tank while blowing everything up (benny hill music) from up to 200km away.

To be fair I haven’t - I always found it a bit too “blingy” but I might.
I’m 9 days away from marauder 5 so I could fly a Vargur - seen some interesting youtube theoretical ones .
Thoughts anyone on mach vs vargur vs Tempest Fleet issue?
vargur is like +1bil on the hull alone vs the mach, then the fit should be roughly the same.
I’d rank them mach > vargur > tempest fi. Mach has more raw damage and speed, vargur has more tank, both have good range bonuses. If you just want to chill either will be fine, maybe even prefer the vargur for that, personally I prefer the damage and speed on the mach. Tempset FI has nice damage but no range bonuses so it’s going to struggle to apply good damage.
