Can we have an ammo bay in the ship … I always forget to load the ammo…and have to come back again… it’s more true for abbysals…where ur lost if u forget ammo…please bring this change in-game…thank you in advance
i meant like drone bay give us a ammo bay…so if we drop loot in station we would not unload the ammo as well
Would make sense . On a ship you don’t store food , fuel, spare parts and ammo or any other supplies in the same space. Everything is partitioned and I don’t see why we shouldn’t have a separate ammo magazine for our ships in Eve.
would be a QoL thing…
But could we also get the ability to target said ammo bay to try and make a ship explode?
That would be cool , but we will never see such things in Eve (this would imply for it to be an arcade simulator)… you could also target the reactor of a ship and make it explode . You can think of so many features , only your imagination is the limit … anyway, this is getting off topic now…

Remember the Cant !
What’s the point, if you forget to put ammo into your cargohold you will also forget to put it in your ammohold. It’s an idea that solves nothing and serves no purpose.
The same is true for drone bay as well… I basically need it for dropping loots in structures…I forget ammo when I drop loot in structure
No, because you can’t launch drones from your cargo bay. We have a drone bay in order to be able to balance how many drones different ships can bring and use.
It’s almost like you’re not very good with logic.
will it hurt anyone though if we have ammo bay …it will be a quality of life update
Then stop doing that. It’s not a QoL upgrade at all, it would also require a rebalance of all ship cargos because of it.
You are contradicting yourself here , you replied to him saying that there’s no point because if you forget to bring ammo , you forget anyway , then he said it’s the same thing for drone bay , which is true , it really doesn’t matter if they are in the cargo hold or drone bay , if you forgot to bring them …
Then you spin into irrelevant things such as launching drones from cargo bay and why we have drone bays , when the subject was something entirely different !
Think again about what you said.
Just because you don’t agree with an idea, it doesn’t mean others should think the same as you do.
Because he used it as an excuse: “we have a drone bay so why not an ammo bay” which makes no sense for the reasons I stated.
Try using your drones from your cargo bay and report back to us if “it really doesn’t matter”.
First of all be civil , this is turning already into a personal attack , you go talk like that in your home , not here or in the ghetto you live in !
Second , stop playing smart ass and taking my words out of context and removing chunks from a phase that give them an entirely different connotation.
This will be my last reply to you as it seems that you simply can’t have a civil conversation and also lack the brain for it.
If you’re going to make uninformed statements, be ready to be called on it. If you don’t like that then perhaps think before you post.
Also you’re not even 3 weeks old and already lost an untanked retriever in a 0.5 so I guess that answers that question.
Current specialist bays exist for one main reason:
- To allow ships to carry more of a certain type of item than would fit in the main bay
- While keeping the main cargo bay size balanced
Think of it like this, Ventures have an ore bay (5000 m3) in addition to their main cargo (50 m3) because if there was no specialist bay, the 5050 m3 main cargo would make a the quick cheap Venture much better than a Iteron Mark V with 5800 m3 for most hauling. The Venture would need a nerf to the cargo bay, but that would make it much worse for mining. Luckily specialist bays exist.
Similarly, capital ships have a fuel bay, so that CCP could give them more cargo space for fuel without giving them more general cargo space.
Now what you ask is more ammo cargo space for ships, but until now all ships have been created with a general cargo space that has to include ammo (except for the Hoarder ). This means that to add ammo bays to all ships while keeping the relative power of the ships the same, all general cargo bays of ships using ammo need to be made smaller.
Also, stop being bad by forgetting ammo. An ammo bay won’t help you bring ammo if you forget it, just like a drone bay won’t help you remember to bring drones. Last time you entered the abyss, did you remember to bring your filament?
This isn’t the first time someone has brought up about having an ammo bay in the ship… i can find plenty of conversations going back 5 years for this
Do you need a handkerchief now ?
