A party for cats refers to a time when you let your hair down and perform multiple ganks with a coordinated group of cheap, fast, and high-damage galente destroyers, which are used due to their exceptional DPS and ability to quickly eliminate targets, to achieve devastating alpha strikes against high-value ships like freighters.

So it is what you refer to as the good old days when you speak to the youngsters as you sit in your rocking chair on the porch?

The tiger tabby by the door is our newest. He is or was a feral.. We are in the process of acclimating to being an indoor kitty. His was hit and has a permanent very bad limp. Something that would make surviving outside as a feral almost impossible.

The black one is Mystique. She was a bottle baby. Her mother was hit by a car and dying. The vet had to do an emergency C to save the litter. Mystique and her sister has been working with Sarge.

I have a multi-generational family of feral cats living outside my place in the backyard. It all started about 2 years ago when the pregnant female arrived. I named her Mama Stubs. She hatched a litter and from them came Nugget - orange manx mixed with tabby long tail, Two Face - a calico, and Squad Car - black and white manx stub tail like mom. One of the boys got mom and the other got Two Face knocked up. Mama Stubs produced Timex and Ghost, Timex did not make it. Two Face gave birth to another calico - Penelope, Frick, and Frack. Out of that litter Frack died. I allow them to come in through my back door, if they are brave enough to meet Takaros. Takaros is my Maine Coon about twice their size or more. Takaros doesn’t leave the house. Recently Two Face gave birth to 3 more, 2 of them look like Squad Car. I don’t know what I will call them, but the chicken budget has increased at my place.

Neighbors told me the Human Society will neuter them for free. I called and they charge $40 per cat, I would have to bring them in myself. There is 4 or more females. Yep, I foresee a lot more kittens in my future for sure.

Good luck with the new tabby. Trust is the thing, show him you trust him by allowing him access both in and out. Eventually he will come around to realize you have better accommodations.

$40 USD To neuter a male cat is a good price.

If the same to spay a female cat, that is a bargain.

Get off your butt and get it done!

Maybe you missed that part about them being feral cats. I give them food and offer shelter. That is where my obligation ends. I am not bass fishing here, doing some catch and release program. I have made them available to anyone who wants them. Problem is not one of my neighbors is concerned about their well being. One suggested I set traps. Most people are cruel. If I spent $160 or more, more females will show up, there is an endless supply of animals out there in nature. Where do you draw a line in the sand?

I own one cat. He is a house cat, I take him for walks on a tether, he is licensed, and sees a vet. These feral cats are his friends, they stop over eat, a few will come in to nap. I don’t see anyone neutering teenagers that come to visit their kids. Might be a good idea?

Anyway this is getting off topic so back to the show…

Even if you did one male cat a month. That is still better than the population explosion that is about to hit your backyard. And with all those mouths and more to come. You will not be able to keep up. Better to scrape together the $40 dollars a month. Drop or reduce something from your budget now. Than the overwhelming feed bill that you will have in just another two short years.

I have worked in animal rescues and my grand daughter ran one. The math is an exploding exponential increase of population in any cat colony. With you feeding, which is really kind, that increase is going to happen real fast.

Work with your humane society if you can or reach out to other rescue organizations. There could be resources that you might be able to tap into. Depending on your state and area. Might be able to help with the cat food or even vet bills. Again depends on area and state.

Regardless you have taken on this responsibility out of the goodness of your heart and that is something really special and precious. Now your need to make sure those sweet ferals are taken care of properly. Not let it grow to be an overwhelming problem.
