When I first made this skinr, there was no forced red/orange accents, and all the running lights were a blue. Recently, these visuals have changed, completely ruining the skinr’s i am making. I would like to know other players thoughts on the forced color changes, and the lights that we can’t change.
This is an issue for nearly every ship in game, currently. It’s very rare I can get the propulsion fire to change colors, and really only turns more gold if i plaster gold over every square inch of the ship.
It does that a lot. I have complained about it, and I have pointed it out to CCP that there is such a bug (last summer or so), but I don’t know when they will get around to it. DO NOT save that design with that empty paint slot. Go back to your saved designs and reopen it. It usually opens it correctly on 2nd or 3rd attempt if the 1st one is faulty. Don’t ask me to explain how this can even come to be that a ‘saved’ data sometimes opens partially incomplete. I have no idea how CCP codes this stuff that it sometimes is correct and sometimes is not.
For an update, you are 100% correct! it did fix itself.
However, those lights no longer match the aesthetics. There were lights when I first made the skinr, but they were not that bright, and their color did change with the paintjob to be a subtle blue. I wish I’d saved a screenshot of the original.
I feel like the odysseus could be a fantastic stealth recon type of ship, if eve were more into that sort of thing instead of just showing everything on overview and dscan unless cloaked.
All these super advanced civilizations never figured out how to make composites and paints to reduce technology from finding it? weird.
