FW has many issues, you are very correct on that and they are very serious ones, caps / supers, happen to be just one of them.
CCP could easily fix FW if they truly wanted to. Then again, they could also address bots, the chat system, beta launcher, etc. If players finally got fed up with this sh*t, stopped logging in and subscribing/buying stuff - CCP might get the message.
But like meth addicts players keep blindly rewarding Hilmar and company’s poor business decisions in the hope that if they only suppot CCP then maybe change will be just around the corner…
One of the arguments that’s been made over the years is that the venture capitalists had CCP’s hands tied. I’m not sure how the sale to Pearl Abyss improves this (seems like one set of masters has simply been exhanged for another). If anything I think it’s now worse since $250-million of the sale is tied to specific performance targets.
