Rebranding CCP Games to Fenris Productions has the benefit that it no longer shares initials with the CCP.

You mean CCCP, I presume. And yeah, that is a positive, although I never confused the two entities and it wasn’t exactly something that was conflicting.

The name Fenris Creations is inspired by Norse myth, but it is also rooted in our own history. Back in 1997, we were captivated by a belief that has shaped us ever since: for a virtual world to have meaning, it must be shaped by risk, loss, renewal, and the people who inhabit it.

In short: death is a serious matter.

PA couldn’t find a buyer.. Well no kidding. The People at CCP in a business move said. Instead of PA doing something unfortunate. We buy it back. PA wanting to be rid of IP.. PA by the way is more concentrating on its Asian market. Principally South Korea and Japan.

All of which makes the sale back to CCP and Fenris Productions a lot better idea. Considering that PA sold the IP back for less than what it bought CCP for initially. Makes this sale one where Pearl Abyss was just looking to unload an unwanted IP. But a great deal for CCP.

As for the partnership with the Google AI. AI is here and no matter what anyone thinks. AI is not going to disappear anytime soon. For CCP now FC to explore AI is not something new. Most gaming studios are either working with AI or actively pursuing the tech either in future projects or current ones.

FC stated that EVE is forever. Pursuing tech that will take EVE into the future. I suspect that by the time most here are my age. Your grand children may very well be playing this game. In a way we, right now. can scarcely imagine.
