According to last November, the developers said, renaming ores didn’t matter to us. It looks like the renaming didn’t stop there. Fenris will be my go to label to describe the company now. I need to go look up how to set auto correct to replace “CCP” with Fenris, but I added Fenris to my dictionary so it is no longer considered wrong.

I find it quite bemusing that CCP arrogates the role of an FC to itself, especially Hilmar who’s one of the worst leaders in the industry. This sullies the accomplishments and role of actual and competent FCs in the game.

CCP’s FC is off to a good start: Like a typical trash-tier FC from CFC, the game is now not doing the Startup Limbo, but instead if goes into Infinite Authentication Loop. I guess the AI is already drinking from the firehose with such a simple task.

For the past 18 years that I’ve been playing Eve Online, they’ve always been called CCP and purely from force of habit, I’ll probably continue calling them CCP long after they’ve changed their name from FC to something awful…
I’ll keep calling them CCP just so the next naive sucker they get to buy hem knows their history.

CCP (Crowd Control Productions) are indeed Fenris Creations. We’ve been CCP for 29 years, so there will be some time to update our names and references. And of course, many of you will continue to call us CCP - which is totally fine. I’ve been an EVE player since 2004, and CCP games is ingrained in my head - it’ll be a tricky habit to break!
As a player, my character was named Elise Randolph and I still respond to “Elise” being said, and that definitely won’t change anytime soon.
