content delivered \o/ “Surviving an attempted gank feels great.” if we dont feel anything about the game its just another browser throwaway game , i put it to you the threat of ganking if not the actual gank itself makes eve alive and so much more than just another game
" very infrequent" says it all but why should someone have a chance of running a abyssal site with the chance of lots of isk without a bit of risk.
On the contrary, sounds like the potential for a very big group to oppress a much smaller group by denying them an income. It seems extremely imbalanced that a bunch of players could completely wipe out ganker profits by basically flipping a switch. And gankers don’t even have any counterplay options available to them in such a case! This is a clear case of tyranny of the majority.
There is so much smoke being released in this thread to divert attention and false indignation we even have the quotes and links used with the normal sophisticate obfuscation, but we all know that there is no smoke without fire.
I repeat, all the OP has to do is ask the players who were ganked by this ganker to send him their logs and then go through them, if he finds more than 6 firing within each server tick then he should forward the information to CCP. Anything else said in this thread is hot air and bluster.
Thanks your post! You have indeed inspired me to HTFU and Git Gud!
Have you considered a career as a motivational speaker? You could be like a special needs Anthony Robbins. In space.
I mean they hauling their lives in t1 indys with no modules fitted. They deserve to lose it all.
It isn’t that hard to coordinate solo.
Thats not whats happening tho. Its ok. Go back to complaining about un-needed things
Nothing is stopping you from needjacking LOL. Ain’t their fault you can’t use in and out of game tools to avoid the camp. And sometimes you just can’t and its your turn to get blapped.
If you send the commands to multiple clients at once or in succession, that’s input broadcasting or automation, respectively.
If you bind multiple keys to a single button, and then manually press that button once per client, that’s a simple macro, which is allowed.
For example, I have a side button on my mouse that uses the F1-F8 keys at the same time, as I prefer not to group my weapons in many situations (like when I want to perform statistical analysis of my combat logs). I also have key combinations like control+button or shift+button bound to my macro keys. Likewise, I can bind Alt+Tab as a combination to a single button (though I don’t usually do this as I rarely control more than a single account in combat). All of this is allowed.
Editing my post above with highlights to show the critical parts. I had confirmation of this via support ticket.
As usual Destiny states the facts and gets them wrong. The rule of thumb in EVE is “one action per keypress”.
So yes, you can bind, say, “Open Inventory” to Ctrl-Alt-I if you wanted, because that’s considered a single keypress.
You can’t bind pressing “F1-F8 keys at the same time” to a single button on your mouse, as that is more than a single action per keypress.
It would be a bit of a grey area to bind Alt-Tab, then Fire, to a single button, because Alt-Tab isn’t actually a ‘game’ action but a Windows action, and you’re still only making one in-game action per key.
Those are the rules for key-macroing / automation. Input broadcasting is a different issue.
