CCP PLEASE FIX FACTION WARFARE

I had an idea, but tutu didn’t like it very much, though he didn’t say why. I proposed a “sov-lite” system for all of high-sec, in the sense that FW factions could “take control” of all regions, but not in any practical manner. A portion of the market and PvE taxes generated in a region (I would be in favor of creating some additional taxes to create further incentives for everyone to get engaged with FW) would go to the wallet of the faction controlling it, and get routinely paid out as dividends to the members of the controlling faction, as long as they had an active PvP history against the opposing factions during that period.

Hey farmer trash, the whole point is that it’s actually physically impossible to “hunt” anyone when they have a sub-2s align time, and warp out the second someone breaches the d-scan bubble.

So to simplify your idea you want to force high sec players to feel like they are getting the bad end of the stick but they have the option to join fw in order to counteract the negitive?

It would be better imo if people in fw got benifit’s rather for fighting for their faction like subtle -% off tax if they buy from any station in their own factions space including high sec, kinda sad that the lower market tax reductions only applied to low sec where there are no trade hubs.

I tried making a trade hub in low once and no one bought from it wasted tons of isk.

  1. Where?
  2. Why there?
  3. For how long?
  4. How did you figure out there’s actual demand?
  5. What range of items? (“everything” is not an answer)

Correct. Both carrots and sticks would be present.

On top of this, I would eliminate most of the standings hit ■■■■■■■■ so that people could come and go as they please.

The current PvE/plexing component could remain, though possibly with lower rewards, and would serve as one of the methods of claiming territory. The second method of claiming territory would be a straight-up military victory in a region (e.g. total damage caused).

I have ideas on how to treat special regions like The Forge as well, and ideas for ensuring that all of the sides are on relatively equal footing.

All faction warriors operating in highsec would become additional targets for suicide gankers.

I rarely, if ever, see suicide-gankers go after conventional PvP ships. I suppose if someone’s flying a 2 billion+ faction BS around, sure, but that would be an outlier situation.

PvP ships have high defenses, and active players behind them.

Sorry. Guess I was just talking about myself.

I’ve remembered joining the minmatar militia back when I was active in Hek. It was a rather stupid idea,
because the only opposing faction warriors were station humpers in brick tanked ships doing potshots.

Now that I’m in** Uedama, it might even be worth a try again.
Being in FW has the benefit of sentry turrets not frying my ass for attacking the enemy.

A target’s a target, you know?
What matters is if I can kill it.

If it’s not actually afk …
… then even better.

As a such supreme and badass player yourself yo should know by the time about alts…

Really?maybe because you suck maybe. His ship teleported into the system magically? no! he used gates! fit instalocker and get him there, he will move in or out . About “farmer trash” witch one broke your heart? it’s needed a trasher farm to give you a PvP solution instead of a crypost solution lol

Lot of new players around thinking they sound like vets. They really dont, though.

Or maybe its just one.

It might as well have. If you push your align time down enough, you effectively become impossible to lock.

Hehe thank you very much for the meme!! an elite pvper as yourself don’t even know what an instalocker is!

Can we now stop talking to the farmer trash who thinks he can blend in?

But daaaad, I want to keep it!

  1. Vlillier the home of gallente fw
  2. Because it was not only the home of gal but also one of the most dangerous systems with a ton of fights and people dying there.
  3. 6 months.
  4. Because people don’t want to loose their expensive pod’s in low so I took a guess they would rather try reship as quick as possible than burn back to where ever they came from.
  5. Frigate + cruiser pvp ships and common fittings including ammo for them like the top 30 used ship’s with all the meta fittings for them.
  6. Lost more in tax putting things up than the profit’s made from what little actually sold and the mark up was only 3% higher than cost.

Unfortunately eve does not work like that, no matter how much sig resolution you have becuase of server ticks anything with under 2 sec align will get off, if they start from 0 speed and align in any direction.

Not only that but they can see the player on 0.1 au with their bot and by the time you land you already see them in warp, they warp to a bookmark 0.1 away from the combat plex and the bot keeps d-scanning you until you leave then it warps back to the plex and continues the count down.

Thanks!

More questions!

  • Where and how did you advertise it?
  • What do you think you might have forgotten in your considerations?
  • What do you believe turned your project into a failure?

Maybe you can’t get them in Plex but I mean get them on gates. Look for instalocker fit in Google and forums, lot of ppl reporting being tacked with 2s align ship

You needed to find a cheaper source, or mark your goods higher.

If the only way to catch a farmer trash in a relatively cheap ship is to employ a multi-person gatecamp, using a ridiculously expensive setup and implants, and living close to the server, and you don’t see a problem with that, then you’re part of the cancer.

A cancer that must be mercilessly cut out.
