CCP-Pleeeeease! (or why a 'simple' QoL buff ain't necessarily so)

I came across the following interesting article from TechRadar today. I’m not a developer, but I do understand what’s being set out here. I confess, I didn’t realise that what I might regard as a simple enough request to CCP (‘the code already exists, doesn’t it?’) is, in fact, likely to involve some quite complex - and little appreciated - investment of time and resources.

It’s called Spaghetti Code, and EVE couldn’t function without it. It’s also why they can’t get rid of POS towers, or add walking in stations.

Thanks, QG. I always kind of knew this (it’s become lore!), but until I read that article I had no idea of how the various parts of a team related to one another, and the stresses involved in bringing a relatively minor change in a project to its intended user base.
