Meh the trouble is CCP have a massive subscription & development debt. New content has to pay for itself but as CCP is so heavily debted in TQ owing to years of botting, new content just does not bring in the dollars as everyone has everything they need stockpilied or at least the means to trade stockpiles for what they need.

CCP’s solution, no new content or at least very slow min cost changes combined with in game austerity.

Poor get more poor

At the end of the day CCP just loocl average and said " ho it’s fine" , and they don’t see elephant in the room => the median collapse.

A nice distribution curve or cumulative curve would do.

Median => 50 % upper, 50% down. (Basis of math)
So if i have see video of people at 50 % , i know the median.
After you take MER and you see and increase in percentage in one year (so i have the average).

I’m too late to the party, but anyway.

I liked how you summarized your subjective points in a decent manner, I agree with lots of them.

I think sometimes people tend to put their View as the absolute view and I want to comment about the SP aspect of EVE.

You put it nicely how grind can become boring, but you ignored how boring is to not be able to speed up the 6 month wait to get BS (example) to level 5s, without paying ofc.

I think EVE needs the current training system, but it would be nice to be able to PLAY for SP. That’s something that may not be attractive for old people but is to young ones.

I want to be able to play the game and make my progress works instead of just using my credit card and wait 6 months. I believe some hybrid system needs to be developed.

The hybrid system already exists.

You can play for SP:

  • play to earn ISK
  • use ISK to buy skill injectors
  • inject SP

Congratulations, you earned SP by playing the game, just like any other ‘play to progress’ games out there.
Alternatively, instead of buying injectors you can buy cerebral accelerators, which give more SP for your ISK once you get into injector diminishing return territory.
