CCP selling special edition assets for $

if you only define you about your “golden pod” then maybe you need some help … its a fictional item with no improvements for the owner in a fictional game where nothing you use is your property !
that means … CCP can take it awy from you as they want and CCP can gave it to other ppl if they want ! and imagine CCP close the server, how much worth is your golden pod then ?

EVE Uni promotes the adquisition of unfair new released golden-pods. We must pod EVE uni members as an act of protest. Capsule - Genolution 'Auroral' 197-variant | FireFrost | Killmail | zKillboard

I’m not angry, I’m just disappointed

I am the golden pod

Look “Vuhdo Rin”. You are a fictional character on a forum about a space ship computer game trying to lecture me about a virtual item not being real and not being my property. Yeah, this is pretty ridiculous.

Oh really?

This isn’t even about this item specifically. It’s absolutely clear to everyone that CCP is in complete control of the game and has complete ownership in everything. This game only works because we trust them to not abuse this power and ■■■■ the game up.

The issue here is not that someone thinks this items are real or identify with them, it’s that CCP continues to erode this trust by continuing to prioritize short term gains over respectfully maintaining the legacy and history of this game.

Plex is a better store of value (aka ISK) vs your "COLLECTABLES"

I would rather have 20bil in plex vs 1 20bil skin. To yall who make the economic argument that these things are an investment.

I would rather have my hundred and fifty billion worth of unique ships than my eighty billion worth of PLEX. One is nice to look at to bring back fond memories. The other is PLEX.

Mr Epeen :sunglasses:

Fond memories don’t make me ISK/hr.

This is why the Caldari are the richest out of the 4 empires and why I grew up Caldari.

:face_with_monocle:

but why ? xD this doesnt even make sense … dissapointet about a item on a fictional space game ?

youre nothing because your char isnt even yours !

at least, you agree that youre ridiculous

so … i will show you now 2 screenshots and maybe you can see a difference and that your statement is obvious stupid !

A ship can make you ISK/hr or a commodity that holds value (plex, fuel, ammo, etc) is always better vs a skin that can crash in value so fast it is crazy. This is why I don’t buy the fancy marauder skins and whatnot.

Cry historical/sentimental value all you want lol. Now everyone has a piece of history. That’s pretty cool tbh.

the same reasons i rarely buyed any skin ! only 2 skins i realy wantet ! the kronos federal Police and the Marshal SARO Black Troop skin ! but i would never complain about the price xD bcause i wantet them and i have payed the isk because i felt it was worth it !

and still a special skin is nothing of value …

Pearl Abyss is hellbent on short term profits, long-term failure.

Every publicly traded corporation is mandated by law to do everything legal and humanly possible to increase shareholder profits. Not even a joke.

Gaming is not about fun or reward (for players) any longer. It’s all about wealth for shareholders. End of story.

then why i met all over eve player they enyoj the game if this isnt the goal ?

and why is this bad ? if nobody gets money from this product then nobody will play this product because it will deleted !

It is undeniable that the free omega week lured back some old players who have stopped playing. But how much is the increase consisting from them and how much from multiboxed accounts as anyone can create and multibox as many new accounts and have them online as much their PC handle. Because why not, you get 1mil free SP too.

And even if the ratio was better than 50:50, will these old players who came back due to the free omega stay? For sure, some will, but the question is how many?

The free omega weeeks are there every year and they don’t really increase PCU long-term. I don’t think this year will be any difference.

TL’DR using a current PCU that is highly influenced by free omega week as an argument it silly move.

Yeah ok. I should stop talking to space children and expect they understand what I write.

Oh I did not even know that. Thanks for pointing that out.

How disingenuous of this other person to not mention this rather important detail about the PCU spike.

i fixed it for you !

if you only define yourself about the golden pod you didnt understand the game ! and if you only complain about a skin that has no improvement at all then you dont understand the game aswell …

your just crying nothing more !

and you know that because … ?

and you believe that because … ? xD oh wait … i can imagin why you beliefe unproofed statements

Can confirm this. It really is sad when profits take hold of the artistic value. It’s why I love small developers. I still got some great small games made by literally 10 or less people. It’s easy to tell they have more artistic value and are not being pushed by shareholders/parent companies.

I think if someone gave CCP $500,000,000 USD they would have all the artistic freedom they want tbh.

Maybe $100,000,000 can work also.

This game is about collecting rare virtual items. I’m the golden pod

Don’t forget the new Havoc release too.

New releases/expansions are always good for bumping the figures as players long gone just log back in to have a quick look.

I doubt that the free week and new release are just a coincidence.
