I find it very immersive. Why dont you find immersion on it?
Why even have security status as a thing at that point? The goal seems more about getting people to buy as many accounts as possible and not have someone ‘living the pirate lifestyle’ and finding ways to fund their criminal activity while being on that criminal character.

It means nothing outside of a tool for devs for implementation of game mechanics. It makes no difference for players depending on what they do and what they fly.
Yes, and not just accounts. Everything else.
It is especially evident when the members have multiple forum accounts and only co-post on the same threads and were created on the same day and within a few minutes of each other, and are silent otherwise.

Hi Cerberus, if I read your comment correctly you are suggesting that people whose views you do not share and of whose behaviour you disapprove should be prevented from having access to the Forum in order to express themselves.
You will know that, historically speaking, such attitudes have, without exception, led to peace and harmony in the world and a steady blossoming of benign tolerance, the positive consequences of which we can readily observe in our daily news feeds and the vanishingly small incidence of interpersonal tribally fuelled violence.

It’s part of the game. I am not aware of a pact or promise between CCP and the denizens of Hisec so what failure exactly are you talking of?

Them buy the permit and mine or don’t and get destroyed more often. The choice is yours.
It seems they are well organized. You should buy the permit if you really want to mine.
I don’t know if it’s “harassment”, everything can be if enough fools get behind the accusations. But you don’t have to mine. Do something else that doesn’t require you to fly a target. I suggest FW.

They lost control many years ago.
I have flagged blatantly personal abusive posts aimed at other users that nothing has been done about, or if anything has been done the posts have never been removed.
It almost makes you wonder if some of the posters are actually mods or CCP employees to get away with so much.
Now they have the problem of too few users in here so if they started to ban them there’d be no posts, unless of course more sensible forum members returned.
Take the post above by someone hiding behind an alt, a perfect example of what’s wrong with both the game and the forums.

Surely the reasonable thing to do is to ignore personal insults and other irritations, and to deal specifically with the issues raised in the post?
I can certainly be sarcastic in the rough and tumble of impassioned debate (I was once pulled up about it), but there is at least some substance to my arguments. I don’t use sarcasm in order to disguise ignorance.
I do have to watch it though…

Totally agree as this thread to my understanding is being kept open for feedback and a little steam release though as you mentioned and we all should moderate threads that r find offensive.
Looks that way to me as well. Some kind of employees playground. That would explain all the alts and the blatant propaganda.
So it serves the game for character bazaar and in-game item sells but besides that it’s mostly BS.

I post only on ‘Sasha’ (as even a cursory examination of my writing style will indicate).
Sasha is my main. He currently lives in Fittakan (Molden Heath), usually at Gulfonodi mission hub, but occasionally elsewhere, depending. You’re welcome to come visit/pod/taunt him at any time - he’s engaging like that. No posting on alts for me!

I think not, Felix. Practise self-moderation if you really must indulge in this behaviour, and leave to those actually tasked with the job the monitoring and regulation of our interactions.
Our ability to flag posts does not mean that we have to do so. We are surely not in the position of being required to censure (Zaera’s ‘cancel’) the expressions of others? I have never flagged a post. If I disagree with its contents, I respond, setting out my grounds.
Flagging a post simply because you dislike the manner of its style, identity of the poster or its content (however controversial), is hardly mature behaviour. But then, I’m a Retired Gallente Ganker - so my opinion was probably cancelled before I typed the first letter of this rather long submission…
