CCPlease revert logi changes

But the battleship wouldn’t have because they would know any baiter has multiple logi alts in the wings. Plus any friends and those friends multiple alts also. And they are probably spider tank fit alts so they can dps also.
So…

As has been said in this thread by many people, more people risk fights now.

I think that is a very important point. Group play is the key to this game. What ever area you play in.

Got another ‘how do the mechanics work’ question for you, @hellokittyonline.

What happens if the intended suspect baiter and their logi fleet set up a shared limited engagement (LE) timer ahead of the bait scenario? Such as by sending an alt suspect and all engaging the alt, so they can provide mutual support to each other for the next 15 minutes. Does that conflict with the baiter going suspect and getting tagged by the baitee, with the second LE locking the logi out of being able to continue repping their fellow participant from the first LE that still has time active?

Why the fck would you not let this ■■■■ thread die.

There’s no way that would work. People are daft… but not daft enough to shoot multiple people… If we relied on them shooting multiple people we would likely never be successful.

But to answer your question. If both parties have an LE on the same person they could logi each other but at that point they’d be better off just both getting in combat ships and blowing the guy up.

I think you misunderstood my question. In the scenario I presented, only the bait shows as suspect to the target - but he is also already sharing an LE with his fleet against an unrelated third party to the scenario, which is not visible to the target of the bait encounter.

Does the pre-existing LE timer gained via participation between the suspect and their logi fleetmates against a third party allow the logi pilots to continue providing logi support under a second LE initiated when the suspect is attacked by the target of the bait effort?

If the answer is ‘I don’t know’, I would be happy to help with testing on Sisi. It may be a slightly convoluted setup, but if it works it would make it possible to get Logi engaged again right now under current game mechanics.

No that does not work.

All participants have to share every LE with the person they’re trying to rep in order to be able to rep them without concord.

Really all you need to know is there is no realistic way for a suspect to receive remote support.

Bleh. Sorry, I am out of ideas for ways to facilitate group engagement under current mechanics.

Yup, there isn’t a way unfortunately. We’ve combed the mechanics quite thoroughly I can assure you :frowning:

Suspect baiting with some neutral logi support (so I could bait in shittier ship bigger targets) was my hobby in this game. I gotta admit I kind of lost passion once they introduced this change. Despite living in wormholes, I always knew I could turn for some high-sec baiting and even take juicy targets (marauders). I guess you can still do it to some extent with pimped out Negrals against mediocre fits, but still. Piece by piece, this playstyle took a hit, starting with safety control (which was a good change). Time extension on wrecks, Orca ship swap, global links. I can’t help but feel nostalgic. Many of changes were good, I won’t argue, but feels like high-sec content creators should get a bone once in a while. I guess CCP sees the stats and I hope their changes had positive impact they expected. But removing PVP from high-sec will just make the game bland and they might realize it when it’s too late.

CCP is not removing PVP from Highsec. Suspect baiting with neutral logi was seal clubbing though, and just meant everyone ignored suspects because they probably had lots of neutral logi in the wings.
No Neutral logi actually means people are more likely to engage a bait, because they might think they can win.

I get where you are coming from, and I think you are probably right. I was refering neutral logi in a very small gang or dual boxing context. But I guess it was too much abused for CCP to act. It’s just ninja salvaging got short end of the stick probably due to baiting fleets in Jita.

imagine being in high sec, picking on inexperienced and unsuspecting people with high kda and complaining…

The game needs to be more dangerous for you, imo. kill a ship in high sec should hit your sec harder, and you should be popped by police/concorduken

I kind of think this part of the post is one of your problems, if your main interest is just blowing others up why can’t you still do it in low or null or WH, there’s no suspect issue there.

Null sec is nothing but a Krabbing cesspool and low sec is dead.

Actually PvP is dead. Most the PvPers have unsubbed.

I know I have.

Nobody is picking on inexperienced players…

Also nobody cares about KDA… or killboards at all.

Oh god I figured youd posted something exceedingly ignorant so I viewed your post. (Dont get used to it, you’re still an ignorant prat)

But to respond to your post, the EXACT OPPOSITE of what you are saying happened.

Before the logi change we could engage groups and other PvPers, take bigger risks and get in fleet fights. The content we took part in varied a lot.

Now, the few guys who are left just fly solo and seal club because it’s the only content that remains.

The high sec ganking needs more anti-ganking mechanics, not less. its to easy to make isk as a high sec killer and far to efficient.

Oh, yeah? The whole mechanics of suspect baiting requires inexperienced players. It simply does not work (and never did work) on experienced players.
