You speak in generalizations. You do it now and your thread history reveals as much. You think that because there is discourse to the changes CCP makes, that there is rampant negativity. Best I can tell, as long as we stick to the rules of civility, its perfectly fine for you to have your condescending attitude.
You, and a small sub community like you, on these forums have lost the ability to discern a path of discourse. In your mind, all change CCP does is great and can do no harm. If one decides that perhaps there is a dissenting view - you post memes and begin the subtle character attack.
Keep up your nonsense though, I find it entertaining.
I’m both capable of having an opinion that CCP is far too intoxicated with the microtransaction market to produce a viable product and weathering your feable attempts to insult me or my intelligence.
That’s called business and how game businesses survive and increase revenue, especially decade old games.
This game was beating a dead donkey without these changes.
It’s not 2003 any more. You don’t have to buy anything, just so happens others do.
I bought a skin for my invisible covert ops ship that’s zoomed out to 1 pixel in size in space. WIS would boost revenues even more.
Waiting for skins for my drones to arrive and skins for my missiles. Even in Elite Dangerous you can buy different coloured lasers. And yes, I did that too.
you are all playing this game just because you are easy to control… anything else that is said on this thread will only be an indication of the tools that are used to control you…
was supposed to be in another thread, but the golem closed it, so it will be here…
So buy the company or IP and do better. Crowd fund.
See my last comment on what actually happens when the community take over a game, it turns to a private drinkers only club of elitists only welcome. I have seen it happen to other games that were given to the community by companies. Those games are now long dead into oblivion.
See my last comments, community take over of a game is a disaster from my experience, they turn it into a private drinkers elites only club, if you disagree about their agenda, you get a ban to even joining the game.
Hard to say how many are alts, but with F2P it’s fairly clear that the number of paid players is much, much lower than it was even in 2016, when numbers were so low they desperately added Alpha to the mix.
Forum posters aren’t a good basis to judge the attitudes of the “player base” from. Forum posters are an extremely small portion of the player base. I doubt they make up even 1% of the currently active players.
Take Blackout, for instance. There were about as many forumites saying “wow this will be so cool!” and “crap this will be a disaster” back then as there are now. In rough terms. And we saw how that turned out.
The takeaway is, that when you see a number of people saying “oh yeah, some players are getting screwed, this will be awesome!”, then you can expect a drop in player numbers.
Strange as it may seem to CCP and the PvP/schadenfreude crowd… if your game only appeals to a small niche audience and you keep driving portions of that niche away with bad game design, your active playerbase gets smaller and smaller.
I saw that. They called it “trolling”. I don’t see what’s trolling about asking others why they keep logging in but I guess I’m not on CCP payroll either.
FYI, it’s the ISD that closed your thread, not CCP. Although it’s a close relationship between the two, they are not the same persons. Still though, acting the same way. Any dissenters shall be gagged.
Don’t confuse the Forum with the Game.
The game is fine, minus some tweaking here and there. It’s the Forum that is all kinds of broken from what I can see and it’s no wonder, there are more trolls on here than regular players. ISD do not manage this forum properly… and maybe they do, viewed from another angle.
or you know. maybe starting a thread on a subject thats being endless talked about in multiple threads, and is obviously going to just fuel further arguments and abuse isnt the best of ideas.
I disagree. What I see on the forum are many players with their own unique views. Just because someone wants to say something snarky or ridiculous doesn’t make their opinion less valuable. That’s what I enjoyed about the game (and the forum later on) - the different personalities. So I don’t agree that the forum is broke or that there’s too much trolling. There isn’t enough.
