How do these actually work?
They say that “this booster will increase the rate at which they train skills for a short time”
I’ve plugged on in and although I can see that it’s added to Willpower etc it’s had zero effect on skill training speed.
Omega characters train skills at a rate of 1 times the main attribute and 0.5 times the secondary attribute of skills per minute.
Cerebral accelerators temporarily add attributes.
For example using a +4 accelerator will increase your training rate with 6 skill points per minute for the duration of the accelerator.

I can see all the attributes such as Willpower etc are all showing +8.
I checked the current skill at 10h00 WAST today and it was showing 4 days, 9 hours to go.
Two hours later it was showing 4 days 7 hours, i.e. the skill training is proceeding at clock speed which indicates that the accelerator is doing precisely nothing

It doesn’t make time go faster. But it takes less time to train a skill.
Was the estimated time of 4 days, 9 hours before or after you took the accelerator?
Your training times will be adjusted when you change your attributes by using an accelerator.
I wasn’t expecting “time to go faster”.
I was expecting more training to be complete within a given timeframe than was completed prior to consumption of the accelerator
There should have a significant change in time remaining to complete the skill on consumption of the accelerator.
There was absolutely no change.
The skill is being trained at the same rate post consumption as it was pre consumption so it’s going to take the same amount of time to complete as it would have without the accelerator
There’s been zero change in rate of training comparing pre consumption to post consumption.
The skill is training at standard Omega rate
Then I guess you either misinterpreted it or are looking at the wrong place, because:
… your attributes are what determines your training speed. An increase in attributes is a direct increase in training speed.
Where are you looking at the training time numbers?
Keep in mind that the accelerator is temporary and will only affect the first skill(s) of your skill queue.

… and the skill Biology doubles the time of the accelerators…?
I use these all the time cos they are kept on death.
How they work is simple;
The time is taken off immediately, that is to say when you apply the accelerator the training time for the applicable skill(s) will be visibly reduced (i.e. it shows 4 days instead of 8 etc (I’m not doing your maths)).
You will see a lightning bolt on your skill queue on the currently training skill. If you have, say, a 10 day accelerator and a 4 day skill, the lightning bolt will be visible on the next skill(s) in the queue within the accelerator’s timeframe.
If you hover mouse over lightning bolt, a tooltip will say “accelerated training”.
If you train up Biology, it will increase the duration of the accelerator by 20%. The maximum skill level is 5 (V) and the highest accelerator is +12 for 12 days. This means Biology 5 = +12 for 24 days. These are me favourites but are quite spondulous to purchase given that it is still a consumable.
You can easily test your accelerator is working:
Add any skill to the end of your queue and view the time it takes, then drag it to the top and examine the training time again. You will see the difference in time.
They absolutely do work and I have one on now. It’s that +13 one we all got for gratis, I got 6 days cos of my Biology 5.

Well given it’s now run out it doesn’t matter anymore but I can say there was no lightning bolt visible on the skill under training either in the queue or on the timer under the toon pic on the neocon.
Good thing it was loot and I didn’t waste any ISK on it.
