For example:
I do in different system PI factory, ratting, industry etc. In each I keep ships for that purpose. I don’t fly with them back and forward to home station. So when I finish PI it is faster to start from home station, after self-destruction. The same for trading purpose, we are limited to 1 clone jump per about 24h. Fly to other region, set orders, die to re-born. Ores processing in different places.
Sometimes when you haul something you want to do it in 1 direct. You can buy a ship (or prepare them earlier) there, don’t fit RIGs. When you arrive to final destination sell ship or wait until more will come and transport them back. Some route make more sense for 1 direction for me.
Finally I have this luck to relocate and evacuate to HS each time. Each relocation and evacuation is one way ticket. In last 2 months I did 4x one way ticket with all my stuff.
RIGs are expensive to repackage ships each time to DST. Also this ships has a cargo which can be used to transport small size valuable items through Pochven / LS while you do NS → HS and have to transport this ship anyway. People in LS are more eager to kill DST, than for example Drake on gate. So when I pack for example Drake Navy into DST I increase probability of failing to transport the Drake Navy and I have to transport this ship anyway.
I think the point is I do multiple activities in EVE. If someone do for example only ratting, then probably doesn’t experience this at all.
