But I agree. Its absurd to praise james so much. Its not like any other person in history has had buildings or museums named and dedicated after them, like Benjamin Franklin or George Washington. Its not like we have federal holidays named and dedicated after people, like Martin Luther King jr day. These are all great people, but its not like we give them any recognition or praise or anything.

Those people you mention did great stuff. They changed history. They sacrificed much to do that . What James sacrificed? A low wallet being filled with billions of isk by bot hunters that behave like bots themselves?
James posted a blogpost every day, EVERY DAY, for the past SIX years. He was the first to pioneer and spend, sacrifice his time to bump miners away from the belts.
Imagine having doing that for hours, hours on end, while your opponent is simply afk watching a movie or down to the store buying food.
When he started this movement, there was no guarantee that people would follow in his footsteps. There was no guarantee that people would care or read his blog. There was no guarantee that his time wouldnt be a complete waste. But he did so anyways.
What have you done in your eve career? Have you released a blog post every day for 6 years? Or even 2? or even 1? Have you inspired thousands of people to follow in your footsteps and create a movement that is so prevalent, that trillions of isk have both been destroyed and garnered? Does your name and movement get written up in out-of-eve game news media?
As far as reputation and movements goes in EVE, James has certainly done great things in this game, and changed the games history.
