I guess that depends on local etymology. I’m used to “stupid” meaning “lacking knowledge” and “ignorant” being “refusing to learn,” but I can see how the two are interchangeable depending on local language trends.
i understand were you come from
but i don’t even pod people that much
it ■■■■ my security status , i don’t have alts, I’m not a pirate , I’m a amarr soldier
if i refrain to pod i can be shooting people left and right in low for months before the -2 (and having to pay 100 milion to concord to be ok again )
I once smartbombed a 15-odd group of war targets on a mining op (they were actually trying to bait me), and one of their pods had like 1.5 billion worth of pirate implants inside. People put the darnedest things inside their heads…
Have to be valid unless they are just hypothetical as a means to simplify what you are trying to say.
Bat I do see your point and will be sure to explicitly note that in the future.
It’s not reasonable to talk about something objective (e.g. discussing tangible kill board data), and then make hypothetical examples. You don’t need hypotheticals because the real data is right there…
yeah lol id normally go folk are dumb, but my scout alt had a 4 bill pod and id forgot about it , the ag types ganked his ship 3 times after id got a bit tipsy (over more than one night i admit) .
he got fail ganked 4 times in one of those nights before the 4th attempt killed him in an untanked frigate in a 0.5 lol, seriously it took 4 attempts to kill an untanked disposable gank frig in a 0.5 while i was sleeping on the keyboard but they still failed to pod him , you know who you are and now you know what you missed
and yes i was dumb for passing out on my keyboard but lol the fail of ag to make anything from this is classic
i killed a minmatar WT , she was in a algos
i usually don’t pod but she was a WT so no loss to me
1 bil pod lol
and she is a good pilot we fight from time to time
ok 18 bill bustard, that you claim are oh so rare and how I cheat on statistics, well this is fact https://zkillboard.com/kill/87247951/
how does that work in to your statistics?
I am confused, you seem to be posting links to expensive lossmails by rich idiots and this is somehow supposed to prove that CODE. is killing mostly newbies?
Once again, you’re cherry-picking data. That’s the most expensive kill in over at least a week. The fifth most expensive kill drops to a quarter of that value. But over that period of time, CODE. has made about a thousand kills.
No one’s denying that CODE. kills expensive-ass haulers, or Ventures (about 75 Venture kills over the past 10-ish days). But you’re picking out these data points, and trying to pass them off as the whole, while ignoring the hundreds of other kills that make up the bulk of CODE.'s activity.
I am not trying to pass them as a whole, I am just validating a hypothetical example I made earlier, that you claimed it is “unreasonable”.
I would ask you to extend the same curtasy than and show me the actual data.
I wonder if I can ask Squizz for a 7-day data dump so that I can do an actual probability distribution and regression analysis. Right now, it’s just a few kill board pages pasted into Excel, and quick calculations using COUNT, AVERAGE, and the like formulas.
So look, there’s only a few multi-billion kills there. And a few dozen Venture/Corvette kills, and triple-digits of empty pods. The average kill value comes out to a hundred-odd million. There really isn’t that much to it. If you scroll through the first couple of pages, you’ll be able to get a wide-angle view on CODE.'s activities. Don’t just jump to the kill record of the week like you’re doing right now.
Yet you ask that of me to validate what I am saying and calling a hypothetical unreasonable.
I do understand that thing are not as black and white as that, and was simply offering opposing standpoint.
My whole point was that there are few multibill isk kills, but they do drasticly alter the average value. That is the point you dismissed out of hand claiming I don’t know what I’m talking about.
Frankly I’m not willing to spend several days on research just to iron out the math for you. I do have other things to do in life…
