[COMPLETED] Extended Downtime Notification - 2020/09/08

Yes It’s Up and runing!

we’re at GMT+1 right now, until 25 October, when the clocks go back 1 hour.

EVE is on Iceland time, which is the same as Greenwich although there is a proposal to change that. Iceland has no daylight saving.

He is correct. I am from the UK. The time here is 12:50 and EVE time is 11:50. The reason why EVE time is one hour before GMT at the moment is because the UK is in summer time i.e. the clocks are forward by an hour. EVE online is UMT time meaning that when the UK clocks go back an hour later this year, EVE time will be inline with GMT

GMT doesn’t change, BST is GMT+1.

EVE is on GMT 100% of the time. England is on GMT part of the year, and on BST the other part.

BST is not GMT. It is GMT+1. After BST ends, England will go back to GMT, while EVE will not ever have changed off of GMT.

Summertime/Daylight Saving Time changes the timezone in use by the region - it doesn’t change the actual time of the timezone. GMT never changes.

What everyone is attempting to tell you is that you’re incorrect.
