Concern about Highsec Ganking, Fake “Consequences,” and Omega Players as Farm Content

Why is it so hard to let people that do pve as a choice simply alone or face harsh consequences with your ability to play or your account? You do something wrong you get punished by ccp……easy….. simply let people that don’t share your opinion how the game is played alone. And if you don’t get banned…as it should be…..your way to play is not THE way…Your freedom ends where YOU interfere with the freedom of someone else…as i said….common sense…..

It’s actually illegal. The new New Halaima Code of Conduct states that an illegal miner is not allowed to PvE until they complete payment.

Mining permits are currently on sale for 150 million isk.

Harrasment is another form of a bannable action that should lead to perm bans for every account that is owned by the harasser. There is nothing like ‘mining permits’…..i would report you the second you try this……and there goes another account……

If you would like to buy an official mining permit, please send me 150 million isk in game. I guarantee the mining permit is fully certified.

You sir, are in the wrong game. The common sense youre referring to was already washed out to sea when you first entered this game thinking that players will just leave you alone.

Every game has some sort of boss fight…..The boss fights in EVE are other players. Accept that, or move along.

No Mans Sky is that way >>>>————→

no……this is what the report button is made for…. people were banned for lesser things than harrasments like that….

If you buy two mining permits today, I will give you the third one at half price, as compensation for all the harassment you have had to endure.

This is delusional. I can’t even think of a notable application of the harassment policy other than the erotica1 bonus room thing and maybe a handful of RL doxxing/threat incidents.

A little ingame extortion isn’t going to be a violation of the harassment policy, sport.

Nobody is going to take you seriously. Do you really think that sending reports of people blowing up your ship, buying something as foolish as a mining permit, and all other intended eve mechanics will be honored? Have you ever really submitted a ticket related to harassment before in this game?

And what bans have been handed out with offenses lesser than those intended eve mechanics. I would really like to know.

Ganking is an allowed form of play. So I could ask you, why is it so hard to let people who gank as a choice of gameplay be left alone, free of real life threats that those who are ganked often level at gankers. This is a game, where PVP is everywhere, your mission ship or hauling ship is not immune from being blown up by others. You agreed to play this game where there is PVP and destruction. It is like joining a 10v10 shooter match and complaining that you got shot by another player…that’s the whole point of the game!

Just a reminder about two relevant facts and their official explanations:

https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/203218892-Scams

Scams

A scam is what happens when someone takes advantage of a players misplaced trust, temporary confusion or ignorance of game rules, and robs players via legal in-game means. When this occurs, there is nothing the Support Team can do for the victim. Although low and despicable, scams do not violate any game mechanics and can not be compensated for by the GMs, nor can the scammers generally be punished for their actions.

However, scams that affect areas outside of the game may not be tolerated in the same manner, such as, but not limited to:

  • Scams involving Character Transfers, mainly via the Character Bazaar where scamming is explicitly forbidden
  • Scams mimicking services provided by CCP while providing modified data via third party websites
  • Scams using exploits (fake or existing)
  • Scams involving the “PLEX for Good” campaigns
  • Scams that encourage the mark to purchase PLEX in order to acquire the ISK/Items

https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/203208902-CONCORD

CONCORD

CONCORD is one of several policing forces in High Security Space (0.5 to 1.0 security status), tasked with eliminating the ships of players that have illegally attacked other players. Such as attacks that result in the players receiving an active Criminal Timer in High Security Space.

While CONCORD forces do react quickly and with force, they do not have a mandate to protect attacked players and as such will not necessarily be able to prevent eventual losses if attackers can field sufficient firepower to destroy their targets before CONCORD can intervene. CONCORD should therefore be regarded as a force of retribution, not one of protection.

Any player who decides to play EVE Online has the opportunity to know beforehand and in general is bound to play the game with these rules and details in mind as they are intended part of the game decided by the developers.

 :psyccp:

Totally right m8. ccp has to keep it’s multi-boxers happy. Just look at Jita. Kill capital of the game.

Oh yes they do. They are like people whining that knights can jump over pieces in chess. Insufferable whiners.

Looks like Jita isn’t the top place to be killed…even then most kills in Jita are due to wars. I had to go 3 pages in to see just one gank in Jita.

The fact that EVE is a PvP game is not a matter of ‘opinion’. It is how the game has been since it began in 2003. There is no rule that says you can’t be attacked if you are doing PvE. In EVE I am free to attack whoever I want for whatever reason I want….or for no reason at all. If you cannot cope with that then go back to playing Farmville. You wont be missed.

That’s what I’ve been asking!!!

Really?

Do you really mean that?

Is your main Serinjin Moha?

Very clearly, yes.

It appears this thread may have been triggered by a Zephyr loss as result of a single evil ganker in Jita.

After that it took them well over a week (and help from chatgpt) to write a long essay on the state of ganking in EVE, so it might be possible they’ve also lost ships on another character in the mean time.
