Concord cops not doing enough, need 911 button

Instead of making inane guesses why don’t you ask? I also want to know. I can’t fix my behavior by going down a list of random guesses. But since I am not told the problem, which is about as basic a courtesy as there is, I can only conclude the problem is not me.

Good night.

Speaking of Ban. Where is Solstice Projekt?

The community that you think was huge was not really that huge. And I don’t really see any direct PvP nerfs there.

Crimewatch and the fact that you can be shot by anyone in going suspect may have appeared to be a nerf but in practice it was not. It was the fear of others coming in on previously safe PvP that killed it, in other words your own fear. In my experience the actual change made no difference at all.

I don’t think that is proof at all, just your feelings. I have had feelings about things too and I will not say that this was not an issue for those players doing that, but I think you are over stating this massively.

The proof is the numbers sir. A community of thousands has been reduced to less than 50 players. You do not want to believe it because it counters your bias. I was there. I saw the player counts and the counts in my alliance/corp/chat channels. If the playerbase drops 50% but the amount of PvPers drops by 90% then it was a PvP nerf and we lost PvP players and we need PvP buffs to bring those PvP players back. It’s that simple, you just do not want to believe it. Clinging to your ignorance so you can continue feeling justified in your biases.

I said the very same thing about miners leaving when the destroyers had their ROF penalty removed, so that the cost of ganking went down massively, so it became super cheap to gank expensive mining ships which all had the tank of a wet paper bag. And I was told I was wrong and it did not happen by people like you, why should people believe you.

I don’t believe that this community was thousands strong either.

In any case the issue was that you had a situation where you had a easy one on one fight which turned a little bit riskier and most of the players ran away. That you stayed with it is all credit to you, but this is an example of why I am biased against you. All you talk about losing, are advantages in mechanics that gave you really easy kills. Of course I am biased against that.

You said the same thing but the same thing didn’t happen because you didn’t EXPERIENCE the same thing because miners do not band together in groups of thousands. PvPers do. I was a key player in the biggest group of suspects in the game I saw a large enough sample of the numbers to know that a majority of the players that left were PvPers and a majority of those PvPers were High Sec PvPers.

But I did experience it, all those players that I met in hisec in 2009 just melted away.

But I repeat, those players doing ninja salvaging type PvP melted away because there was a little more risk to their PvP, in fact from my perspective they did not get Eve at all.

Dracvlad’s aluminum hat kept him safe during the Great Melting.

It’s not about risk at all man. It’s about the amount of content available. Nobody wants to salvage, much less for no money AND FAR less engagements. They destroyed our profession in exchange for a few mission running whales.

That is not a PvP nerf.

I know, right? I kind of miss being called an asshole every time I posted something he found disagreeable.

Mr Epeen :sunglasses:

I dont understand. What would you do with a 911 Button?

Lets say gankers warp in, and are right on top of you, ready to fire. You press the 911 button. Concord Police says “We got your message, we will be there in 20-25 seconds!” Gankers shoot holes in you and you lose your ship.

Whats the difference here?

You know what, now that i have had time to think about it, Im actually in favor of this. Instead of Concord auto-spawning, they should only spawn if you press the 911 button. This is a great idea.

I agree.

A complete rebalance of the PvP engagement system that removes swaths of PvP content while adding none is not a PvP nerf? Again, clinging to your ignorance so you do not have to challenge your biases. This is such a common trait for the risk averse too. I give you a reasonable response, with the proof you asked for and you reply with “NUH UH, NO IT ISN’T”. Childish.

It is not a PvP nerf. You can still do this PvP if you want to, but it is not as one sided as it used to be potentially, so many gave up. Calling me names is not going to hide the fact that you can still get an engagement by stealing loot. Hell you even have an MTU worth 11m to blow up to force a fight.

The truth is that your community was mostly made up of carebears, false PvP players who ran at the thought that they might end up having a real fight.

And, if they show up but there are no criminals, you get fined.

Im starting to like this idea more and more.

No the truth is we traded a majority of our PvP players for a fraction of as many white knighting d-bags like yourself that can’t separate ROLE PLAYING GAME from real life.

You should be upset with your fellow players who ran away due to a slight increase in risk, not me for pointing it out.
