CONCORD introduces the Dynamic Bounty System

I’m not sure where folks are getting the impression that PVP interaction is required. The details are vague but it sounds like it is a factor in slowing the decline of bounties. Inactivity is another method to reset.

if the guy cant put the supposed char that he supposedly kill stuff here them he is the greatest care bear on the planet

You really have no idea how to read zkill for large engagements, do you? Yes, I’ve been on 2.87t worth of kills. That includes a number of keepstars, so that number’s kind of inflated. I go into those fights in ships that don’t have guns, and usually if I’m on a kill, it’s been something big enough, and slow enough, that I’ve been able to put a single whore-drone on it while I’m repping the fleet.

At the same time, no, I don’t tend to die a lot. You know why? Because I’m the person running the fleet’s logistics, which means the logi all have me pre-locked. I’m also smart enough to use a heavily-tanked ship to do it, which makes it less likely that I’ll die.

But when I do die… it tends to be worth the effort. So it’s not like I’m not risking significant losses. I’m just not an idiot when it comes to knowing how to mitigate the risks.

So I should just say, “ok, a system which is either an extra chore which I already have a fukton of, or a reduction of income which I already can’t PLEX on, is fine”?
Of course I would disagree to that. I even dropped carrier ratting because of the space we live getting a fking endless stream of filamenting pussies fleeing from nullsec to the nearest lowsec exit in my space, so I have to rat in subcaps and dock them up 4-10 times an hour because yet another chicken wants my pve ships, but runs the second I undock my pvp ship.

Those changes will extremely negatively impact my game experience, which brings me less ISK than hisec mining would, and it won’t hit those that deserve a hit a quarter as much as it hits me, which is what I’m complaining about - CCP is about to toss bathwater with the baby still in it again, screwing me over while barely touching the bloc super ratters.

Yeah it sounds like people are using the term “bullying” a bit too freely around here. Killing a newbro in nullsec is bullying but blobbing a solo roamer telling them to never come back and telling them you shouldn’t have been stupid enough to come here isn’t. Lol, that’s enough forums for today, sounds like reddit atm.

As for this…

Like you said: it doesn’t reveal my FW alts, or my other small-gang alts. And I’m not going to reveal them now, either. The people who need to know, do. I’ve done pvp in every part of the game, at every scale from solo to the biggest fights gaming has ever seen. Solo and small gang stuff can be fun, but it’s meaningless. FW is, too. None of it is going to make any changes, and in 10 years, nobody’s gonna remember a single thing about anything they did that way. It’ll all blur together.

By comparison, I remember B-R5RB vividly. I remember watching Sort Dragon’s titan take DD after DD and somehow just not die. Granted, that’s only 6 years ago, but I’m pretty sure that’ll stick for a while longer than ‘dude, there was a dude in a Procurer and we killed him, just like last week’.

Small gang is nothing. It’s ephemeral ■■■■■■■■, and CCP has spent the last 10 years trying to force it on everyone, and trying to make the entire game balanced around small gang crap. So boo-friggin’-hoo you don’t get the fights you want when you come annoy people who don’t want to be bothered with you. Go someplace where the people want to get in on the small-gang circlejerk.

STOP OBSESSING OVER PLEXING YOUR ACCOUNT AND PAY YOUR $15/MONTH LIKE A NORMAL PERSON.

Seriously, it’s insane how many people sabotage their own game experience by turning it into a masochistic grind for this month’s PLEX just so they can afford to do it again next month. Just buy a normal subscription and spend your time in EVE doing things that are actually fun.

Quoting for irony.

ive invested so much time and real money into this game but feel the more i invest the less i get. I’m really trying to hang in there but its getting to much :frowning:

Don’t fall prey to the sunk cost fallacy.

Seriously, I don’t want to see people quitting the game, but at the end of the day, each second of your life is one you only get once, and can never recover. Don’t waste it doing things you don’t enjoy.

Huge blob fights are meaningless too can’t believe I remember nor I cared about the last one. Meaningless is subjective. I can remember a 1v10 and coming out alive more than I can remember the last blob tidi shitfest.

lmfao, someone with no resources in this game is the bully? I can’t imagine how sad your perspective is

When’s the last time you were in one?

Cuz I promise, the people who spent 16 hrs in tidi last week in just 1 fight? They remember it. They might not like what they remember, but they remember it.

A long time ago, years. It was the most boring pvp experience in EVE I have ever been apart of, which is why I mostly solo now, and have so much more fun doing so.

I’m not saying people won’t remember big fights, I’m saying meaningless pvp in eve is subjective. It’s different for everyone. Personally big fights are a massive bore to me and I couldn’t careless.

Is there a particular video you recall where they said this? I honestly can’t remember it.

So since it’s all meaningful and you remember it all so well… regale me with the tale of a fight from October 2017. With details, please.

EVE had its best era of growth financial success when people like you were mocked ruthlessly and the “bullying” you whine about was even more common and effective.

No thanks, I’d rather not prolong this convo after I’ve explained my side enough already. Do what you like but don’t bash others for feeling different about it.

I actually gave this advice myself many times over, so I don’t disagree with it.
There are, however, circumstances.

  1. The threat of another blackout. Every time I’m about to pay, I remember it, and since there is no solid promise it won’t be repeated, and I’m stripped of every single reason to log in, all in-game goals, and all meaning is removed from everything I’ve done in eve for the last few years, I just can’t bring myself to fund THAT.
  2. Filaments. Nuff said. The ultimate pvp removers. While they are in the game, not just paying, logging in seems pointless, when you put a sabre next door to catch someone, and he posts some smug asshatery in local and filaments away without ever taking any gate.
  3. Mining changes. I’d maybe sub to get some cap building for my alliance done. For war, not for profit, you know. Well, can’t do that, says CCP, you get 11 rocks, and none of them are worth 1 old rock, and there’s no way you’re building a cap with that, go get some ISK and pay hisec miners…
  4. …and when I go there, subcap ratting for ISK, this change is rolled in. I prefer to do my ISK ratting in quieter part of the day, so I have to dock up less than 10 times an hour to switch ships. There’s barely any mates on during this time, which means defending ESS will be impossible, and with the stupid filament traffic I get, I can just wave goodbye to ratting, because should I try it, all my time would be spent losing ships on ESS, and depleting everthing I had before long, since replenishing by both mining and ratting is gone.

Under those conditions I seriously cannot recommend anyone to sub. Including myself. I help my alliance with whatever I can, and soon to deplete myself PLEXing, forcing me to quit again.

Really CCP. WTF, what happend to players doing what they want in Eve. Looks like with the Resource Distribution and this Dynamic bounty system update you are changing or forcing the players to play the game your way rather than Let players play the game the way they want. Why are you trying so hard to make your Core player base leave. Its pure psychology every human has a limit once they hit it they will give up.
I have a friend he has only one account he is a miner he trained for 2 years into a Rorqual and only been mining in it for 6 months after the Mineral update his Rorqual is useless since there is simply not enough to mine in the belts or Anomalies anymore he was upset and wanted to quit for wasting so much time training for ship that became useless with in a year. so we made him train into a Ishtar so he can do Ratting and now with this Dynamic Bounty system update may be he cant even do that properly.

so your argument is, “they didn’t advertise more, they advertised this limited sad world” yes? despite them saying players had freedom to act as they want to gain financial independence in this world?
