CONCORD introduces the Dynamic Bounty System

OMG
you pick a big box fill with sand
let the kids play
then you trow some m&ms from time to time
and let them fight
is not that hard

I’m a bit more diplomatic than that, but the sentiment that this is extremely gameable and may not result in the kinds of behavior they expect has been fundamental to my response to it.

The question of whether it impacts me and my allies or some other group is immaterial - my job isn’t to do what’s in the best interests of my group, it’s to do what’s in the best interests of the game. I agree that some kind of resource depletion for overfarmed areas is needed, the issue for me has always been in the implementation so that it’s not easily gamed.

No exchanging in game items or isk for real world money or goods.

He didn’t say what language he used…

I don’t think it will be. Most new players aren’t immediately going to nullsec to start making isk. If they do go, it’s usually to PvP, and the groups they will be joining all have enough space to provide plenty of room for them to grow. The rest will still be in highsec running missions, happily not impacted at all by this change.

This change has a much larger impact on veteran players, especially those using expensive ships and counting on umbrellas and intel networks to keep their space safe. They’re the ones who will have to move around the most to maximize their income. That’s not something they had to do before, so they’re going to hate it. Newer players won’t know the difference.

The responses to this are fun. CCP has needed to nerf the NPC krabbers for a long long time. It has been obvious in every economic report. CCP finally does it and the nullbears are indignant.

“I’m gonna quit if they lower my payout by 15%!!! And so are all my friends!!”
“Stagnation!”
“Rich get richer!!”

I love how so many people are jumping to conclusions without any detailed information, and the freaking out about the assumptions they’ve come up with themselves, lmao.

Are you excited about the Faction Warfare moving to null?

Yeah, they are going to have FW plexes out there, paying out a portion of the ratting bounties.

Yeah, watching the same range of responses every time… and, as usual, the assumptions that this will be terrible for [whoever is writing the response, regardless of rich, poor, highsec, lowsec, nullsec, whatever].

Right down to watching you, once again, crowing about how funny it is that people give a damn. Congratulations, you’re just as much a part of the cycle you’re mocking as anyone else.

At least I am enjoying myself.

wow … that sounds ok
i guess …

Ah the arrogance, you really do want to play an empty game with nothing but bots and your friends, sad.

i guess the index identifiers are becoming useless then? the percentage becomes the new thing? We live where we live for reasons that were dictated by CCP, now we have another rule change. sorry but this dynamic concept is simply inconsistant with the index system. explain please

Why are you only looking on the multiplier? Problem is, that with these changes, as I read them, the ratting index of most NS system is going to stay at best at 3 … so no big anos, since anything bigger will not make any sense, since you get less money for more “risk”. This will lead to using more Ishtars in auto-mode (read botting) and far less carriers or supers, since the risk is not worth the isk anymore.
Bad change … as usual, and if I hadn’t unsubbed already I would do so now. I lean back and let my wallet vote. maybe in a year or so I will come back to risk a look … have fun

You have massively misread the responses.
First of all, Oasa/Delve style eradicatory pve needed a nerf, there was no disagreement there, for years.
GUESS WHAT IS NOT HAPPENING HERE.

The whole problem is the Oasa/Delve playstyle is the ONLY playstyle that allows to ensure your ESS is protected. So they are getting 15% reduction, while everyone else is getting it much worse, at least that’s my speculation for all of this. So the one playstyle that needed to be nerfed will be touched the least, while playstyles that are less-than-hisec income currently will get turbonerfed into complete poverty.

That’s the main complaint, and main reason to quit here. I sure as hell don’t want to be a part of “join bloc, get into super, or die” eve, regardless of having or not having a source of income.

@AbuJana_Ohu EVE is not for you.

I only have my own anecdotal experience, but I moved to Karma Fleet and started ratting straight away. Null sec was exactly what I wanted, reading about BR5 on the PC Gamer website is what brought me to Eve back in 2015. I fear it won’t be a viable income stream for tomorrow’s new player.

I disagree with your assessment that this impacts vets more than new players. Vets don’t need to rat and their isk is going to go a lot further if this change results in deflation.
