Congratulations to KK and SuVee

It appears Combine TNR are party to a détente with the Matari, with KK and SuVee shoring up defenses at home.

  1. Making inroads with the Republic would potentially lead to the State getting assistance from their engineering teams.

I don’t know about you, but the thought of a hybrid Caldari/Minmatar starship is something that fills me with equal measures of giddy anticipation and creeping terror.

To me, the deal between KK and SuVee is indicative of the new balance of power in the State. KK and SuVee are likely shifting from policies of rivalry and confrontation to one of collusion and collaboration to implement what is essentially a cartel monopoly over markets in the Caldari State between themselves. The present deal appears part of this plan – addressing both Kaalakiota cashflow issues and making SuVee a major player in Black Rise colonial development, displacing KK former partners in the region Wiyrkomi and Lai Dai.

As this future monopoly develops between the two largest Corporations in the State, KK and SuVee, PKN Interstellar and Combine TNR will be increasingly forced into foreign markets in order to remain competitive and relevant. I foresee a period of political instability driven by PKN and TNR in foreign markets drawing in major players within the Empire, Federation, and Republic in what will be a major rivalry between Lai Dai and Ishukone. Events in Semiki and Intaki do not appear to be isolated incidents, but the first battles of an interstellar corporate proxy war for market share between Caldari Megacorporations.

That is certainly within the realms of possibility with Combine TNR making inroads into the Republic market – Ishukone is well known for its military technologies. I believe KK and Lai Dai will likely maintain traditional relationships with the Amarr Empire which have just become more lucrative with House Fleet rearmament, though.
