I’m constantly getting disconnected from chats on a few of my accounts, every now and then it’ll socket close (not always the same characters). I know it’s not an issue with my isp since I can always check up on my connection with my personal isp tools.
What else could be causing this and/or does anyone else know any diagnostic tools ccp might have to see where the issue is in the line between me and their servers?
Chat at it’s worst.
Internet connection at 500 down 50 up ping 17. Not sure what i could ping to get a more detailed idea of me and their server.
Chat has had hickups every now and so often since they changed the system behind it.
It’s likely that the problem is on the CCPs end.
Are your characters all in one system? Maybe you can determine that way if it’s you or the servers. But really just guessing here…
I’ve been having the same issues for the last week or so. Usually results in me getting socketed. Now if I see it, I just log off cause I know what’s going to happen.
I have the same issue.
It disconnects and reconnects at regular intervals.
Sometimes, it enters a never-ending disconnect loop. Corp mates have indicated that I become invisible in corp chat. I should also be invisible in local at that time. This could potentially be exploited to the benefit of those who wish to remain unannounced in a particular non J-space system - either to spy, hunt or not to be hunted.
Just now, after pasting particular d-scan results in an intell channel the game entered the reconnect loop, resulting in something like this:

it also deletes every other channel i have open other than corp and local, cant reopen them because the channels window will not load.

Yeah, the same here. It feels weird seeing Jita local without scams.
All I do in this game these days is RP, so it is pretty much game breaking to my playstyle.
Yup, same issue here - over and over again a continued loop of join/disconnect every 5 seconds.
It’s always the same char and it’s every single day.
How hard can it be to fix the darn chat server!
