CCP, while I’m loving the new expansion so far I wanted to voice my disagreement with the new asteroid names.

I completely disagree with the new asteroid names for the +5% / +10% / +15% variants. I really loved the creativity of the names such as “Stable Veldspar,” “Brilliant Gneiss,” “Jet Ochre,” and “Flawless Arkonor” to name a few. Now we only get “Veldspar IV-Grade,” “Gneiss IV-Grade,” “Ochre IV-Grade,” and “Arkonor IV-Grade.”

I completely disagree with this new naming of the ores. Frankly I find it lazy and boring. Please return the names of the ores to their former glory with their former names with the very next patch.

agreed the old names made this game feel more alive, but this, this makes it seem boring and makes it so no one wants to mine as much

Yeah, but it’s unlikely to be changed at this point. So I think this is really beating a dead horse…

It goes in circles. 10 years from now a new dev at Fenris might take a look at the rocks and go ‘‘why do we have such boring names for the asteroids?’’ And change it back. All it takes is one person with common sense, who has actually exited their home and seen the real world since turning 18!

I have hope.

Hang onto that hope! EVE still has to be around in 10 years for a dev to give it another look!
