Cradle of War Needs a Real War Effort

Since the Cradle of War update, I have to admit I’m disappointed. I was genuinely hoping for something more than another daily mission system.

If we’re supposed to be participating in a campaign, then that campaign needs stronger foundations. You’ve given players a goal to work toward, but not many meaningful ways to dedicate themselves to it.

As an industrialist and miner, what am I supposed to feel after completing the faction objective of mining 180,000 ore? The game essentially tells me: “You’ve done your part for today, come back tomorrow.” That’s the end of my contribution.

Where is the sense of duty? The feeling of pushing toward a larger objective? The satisfaction of sacrificing time and effort for a cause bigger than myself?

Let industrial players do what they enjoy doing: fueling the war machine. Not only by producing ships and modules for the market, but by directly contributing to the faction war effort in ways that have a visible impact on the battlefield.

For example, industrialists could receive special blueprints for campaign-related supplies or strategic resources. Delivering these goods would fill a militia-wide logistics bar. Once certain thresholds are reached, the militia could unlock temporary system-wide or global bonuses, while potentially imposing penalties on the opposing side.

Imagine if enough supplies were delivered to grant militia pilots reduced LP store costs, faster frontline deployments, stronger NPC support, improved capture speeds, or other meaningful strategic advantages. Suddenly, industrialists wouldn’t just be supplying the market—they would be actively shaping the war.

The key point is that players should feel like they are part of something larger than themselves. They should feel that their contribution matters and that other players are relying on them. Right now the system feels very individualistic: everyone completes their personal objective and moves on.

What I would like to see is more interdependence, more community effort, and more reasons for different playstyles to work together toward a common goal.

Participation in these logistics efforts wouldn’t even need to provide major financial rewards. Simple campaign medals, ribbons, ranks, or other visible recognition—similar to player corporation medals—would already give many players a sense of pride and accomplishment.
