Criminals and gank failures

If the one who lost out does not understand that is not an issue, but I know what I did and that is all that matters, if people are not able to understand then not an issue either. And there was me thinking that gankers were master of mechanics in this game, but in reality most of you are just blunt force merchants.

Blablablabla, is not a victory.

You seem so desperate to say otherwise. I think you protest too much.

Effective AG is just bringing enough DPS to delete them quickly. Thotamon reps his heart out but most don’t even fit a tank so.

Lets not front like you’re actually out there

You have to be, you have to beat the timer. That takes calculation and skill.

Also if you understood the game, you’d fit up a brutix or talos but yennoe that would take undocking.

Here Drac, I’ll give you the set up to stop Uedama ganks or seriously mess them up.

You need about 5-6 brutix, hull tanked w/ blasters. Fit for max DPS. Tracking comps and SBs.

Then 5-6 crucs, spider web them at 100km around the gate.

Be on comms. When gank starts, crucs target as much as they can, and TD. Brutix’s focus fire one at a time to delete quickly. Its not that hard.

This would involve you actually playing and people wanting to play with you so

That is truly a horrible thought, funny though! :stuck_out_tongue:

So, Aiko is this like the time you failed a gank in uedama and claimed you never fail in local , as we repped the freighter and sent it on its way, was this your theoretical win?

Talking of gank fails a goon baiter /ganker failed in jita last night , bumped off the station and killed quickly using a kill right , well done , unless some how it was a theoretical win for the Goon.

Yes that will stop a gank but seeing that fleet at the gate the gankers play the waiting game or gank somewhere we are not waiting, we’ve stopped ganks with Armageddon fleets and Talos fleets after the 1st surprise fail they wait .

Of course but they are waiting, they aren’t ganking.

However it then becomes a factor of how long AG will just essentially be wanting to gate camp. Hence why hiring a sec fleet to pre jump ahead of you makes more sense.

We need game play like ww2 Atlantic convoy for freighters and there escorts , not sure how that would work but you get my point, how to make it enjoyable for both side but it takes player effort, or do it on your own and risk a gank like today

I kind of feel that’s an idea based on trying to increase enjoyability for both sides, but in effect would only increase fun for anti-ganking.

Gankers just want to gank. I’m not sure how making it more of a back-and-forth between sides actually does anything for them.

It may be a great idea is general, just think it is more focused on more fun for me, but not for thee.

Yes you are right , I don’t care about gankers but I don’t want to push them out of the game.

If haulers were smart, they’d hire a small sec fleet to get thru the deep water.

Still happy a goon baiter/ganker got killed to our killrights programme

It can work, not long after I returned to the game one of my alliance mates wanted to move a large freighter load of stuff into Jita. I switched to two of my characters and set up with Talos’s, objective a certain tackle on the gate, I would take it down in just over 15 seconds well within the gate cloak of the freighter if the main threat used his normal fit.

The freighter was webbed and there were logi too. However the way was clear as we had scouts, and it was done with no issue.

It does need people to use their brains and understand what they can do.

The tackle on the gates is a weak spot and you don’t necessarily need to blap it, but the risk is higher if you do not as good timing becomes critical.

That doesn’t work because the rewards don’t pay for that kind of expense. And it doesn’t work either way, as countless of sunk convoys during WW1/2 show, and in addition to the failure rate, they were also outrageously expensive. The escorts for convoys only became effective once the allied forces had means to intercept communication from the axis and once they had destroyed sufficient uboots so that their coverage became less dense.
