I am conflicted about mutual wars, but I would say that they are fine if the involved parties maintain war eligibility otherwise (to ensure fair/dynamic gameplay through the danger of outside interference). It’s a good way to avoid the war HQ environment

What I mean is the Thrasher’s he reported on are well know to us , not Safety ships , uedama was clear , safety was off killing miners in other systems ,. I know this because we followed them for a time before we returned to other duties.

Drac is claiming victory because only the “thrasher fleet” is in Uedama. My point is that Safety is out there roaming, ganking at will. Hawk is at an SoE hub, ganking marauders.
In other words, it isn’t a victory at all. You already admit Safety was roaming and killing. Moreover, you already admitted failure because you said followed, not stopped.
So no, you guys didn’t “win”. You already admitted to actively failing. Its just Drac, trying to take credit for doing absolutely nothing again.

Uedama being relatively clear had absolutely nothing to do with any AG activities, as you already admitted. By his and your admission, it wasn’t like there was an active AG force in Uedama keeping it clear, the gankers merely were killing elsewhere.

Very good point , from the very start of my AG escapades we have tried to stop ganks on mining belts and mission runners but it’s very time-consuming to actually save a ship. We do try and catch fleets as they move and act as a deterrent in the sys we are in . Even one or two of us in a sys make gankers change what sys they gank or when and with what ships

That is interesting, while I was having a bit of fun with my post that re-started this thread, I was surprised at the lack of gankers, in and around Jita and around Uedama too.
Despite their much touted ability to adapt, it seems that improved tanks on mining barges and exhumers applied previously and now with the latest patch on BS, has impacted their ability to gank overall, but I was surprised at the lack of Tornado and Thrasher gankers hanging around, have all the low hanging fruit given up?

They put a big show on now and again but your right ganking is dying because the resistance is working.
We really need to work on mining belts now , but so many to protect.

Little old me will not make gankers leave the game , just as being ganked doesn’t makes people leave .
Ganking is like any other vice. No single change (aside from an outright ban) is going to stop it fully, but just like with cigarette and alcohol taxes, each increase is going to chip away at the amount of people engaging in the activity, and the quantity of engagement. People are going to continue to drop out as anti-gank changes, whether intentional or incidental, continue coming in (and they’re coming in hard and fast now). Increasing the costs of ganking (which are most often felt in terms of the amount of accounts required to pull it off) is going to reduce ganking; that’s just a simple statistical truth. This isn’t really your victory, and it’s not because of the “resistance.” Ganking is decreasing due to systemic changes.
I can’t speak for other gankers, but the reason I put less kills on the board is that I only hit targets I got hired against and confirmed botters. And all of my targets went into hiding. I have more gankers than ever, so rest assured that hitting random barges and exhumers wouldn’t be a challenge.
